Happy the numbers are holding. Hey, that sketch is pretty good.
Thankfully holding.
The image came about due to looking down at the lawn and seeing a face in the grass.
Which I then drew and eventually turned into the sketch.
But it did try to take up permanent residence first.
Happens with sketches that are slightly beyond my current skill or ability to due.
Like, say, a sketch that would need a model to be sketched from to get the shape and form 'right'.
I currently have three sketches stuck in my head that won't leave due to just that situation.

I understand what you mean. I guess is an artistic symptom – the kind of symptom writers, painters, or poets have once they get an idea in their heads.

Somebody once said that "It is great to have this kind of creativity, but it comes at a steep price."

The worst is when an idea shows up in the middle of the night with enough 'force' to wake me up.
Because I then cannot get back to sleep without first scribbling down at least a vague outline or rough idea of what I'd like to have on paper.
Hmmm, that sounds like the genius mind at work, hehe.

My grandmother and her family left Galveston, vacationing, just before the great hurricane in 1900..The story was that mother and I possibly existed because of good timing and the Grace of God.

Katrina is twice as powerful now than the minimal hurricane she was when she came ashore in Florida last Thursday, and damage estimates -- and these are very preliminary -- for Dade County alone top $2 billion. So you can imagine what the residents of Louisiana are in for. Please pray.

I brought the hurricane up in church this morning.
Before I left the house it was 160+, now it's at 175?
That is scarry and Meg you are right, the incompetant politico's are costing lives, they should have called for evacuation yesterday at the earliest.
I fear many will not be able to get out because of the volume of traffic and the lack of gas and public transportation.

The surreal stuff tends ot be due to me purging stuff from my head.
Otherwise, it builds up.
However, there are some sketch ideas that refuse to be purged until done 'right'.
I cannot explain it adequately, and probably shouldn't even try, but the above is as close to an explanation and description that I can get.
