A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

What if it were really true? What if you woke up one day and money really were no object? How would you change your life? Would your life change? Would it be better? Worse? Can money really buy happiness?

Let's *play like* today (and tomorrow) we can have absolutely anything in the world that money can buy.
Money's no object. What would you buy? Pretend we've already saved the world with our vast wealth, and now we're ready to spend it foolishly and selfishly. :)

Would you buy a bigger house?

Perhaps your own private island...

How many of these would you own?

Vacation around the world

You have a summer home, a winter home, a
beach house, a bungalow in the mountains....
You travel to exotic, faraway places and
stay in nothing but 5 star hotels and resorts.

AND...of course, only the best tables...
in the very finest restaurants will do.

Yeah, sailboats are fantastic. I only first discovered them last week. They're quite easy to use, and one of the most enjoyable activities I've experienced in a long time. As of yet, I have no winter preference... but it would have to be somewhere warm inside the continental US... though some day I'd like to take a tour of historic Europe...

"Yeah, sailboats are fantastic."

Yes, they are! And so very quiet.

Not that I mind jetskiseadoowaverunners. They are quite fun, too (a Seadoo owner, myself), in their own way.

Good morning Billie.

What a fun thread.

I would build a big log cabin somewhere in Montana and would enjoy traveling to some places I always wanted to go to,but can't because of money or the lag there of.;)

I think I would just stick with ordinary people than with the rich and famous.

Other then the log cabin and the travel I probably would still live an ordinary life.:)

Yeah, jetskiseadoowaverunners, as you put them, are awesome. One of my favorites with motor boats is to hook up two tubes behind one, get 2 people on them, and play games- to the tune of knock the other off- while being pulled by a boat at 40+ MPH. Gotta make sure you wear a wetsuit though; hitting the water when you finally go overboard at 40 is no stroll through daisies. ;)

I think I would travel ...the America's(N,S<C) by big rig so I can have bikes, kayaks, pets... then travel the rest of world by train, plain, boat..

I know I would give major donations to the congregations I have had membership in over the years (lived in MANY places)That has always been an intention of mine if I develop wealth again.

It is funny, my life right now is pretty crazy & I am often pretty broke but overall I am much happier than years ago in career of Real Estate Development when I had oodles of money.. but then not as much time or energy.

Not all of us are born Paris Hiltons are we?

somewhere in between would be fine.. but we can dream, can't we?

Wow!!

I'm a simple kind of person. I love our home, but since my mil has moved in I feel like a prisoner. I would put on an addition and hire a companion for my mil's I need constant attention addiction.

I would continue to cook for her..help her with showers..wash her clothes, etc....I enjoy that, but someone else has to do the tap dancing.
