A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

What if it were really true? What if you woke up one day and money really were no object? How would you change your life? Would your life change? Would it be better? Worse? Can money really buy happiness?

Let's *play like* today (and tomorrow) we can have absolutely anything in the world that money can buy.
Money's no object. What would you buy? Pretend we've already saved the world with our vast wealth, and now we're ready to spend it foolishly and selfishly. :)

Would you buy a bigger house?

Perhaps your own private island...

How many of these would you own?

Vacation around the world

You have a summer home, a winter home, a
beach house, a bungalow in the mountains....
You travel to exotic, faraway places and
stay in nothing but 5 star hotels and resorts.

AND...of course, only the best tables...
in the very finest restaurants will do.

"Cage Fighting" - sounds like anything goes, but I guess that's all outsiders know. It's amazing the discipline that you that are trained in Martial Arts have! (Is karate in there somewhere, too?)

Ok, hang on while I hunt some down from a Jiu Jitsu tournament - I think those are online somewhere.

Karate can be helpful. Most people (yes, there are even women who do this) try to cross train between kickboxing (the kickboxing of Thailand, "Muay Thai" is pretty popular for this) and some sort of grappling, like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or Judo. Combine the two and you have most aspects covered.

Let's see if these work. I'm in the blue. This was a grappling competition, no striking (punching/kicking). I won this particular match.

Hi, Wheelbarrow. Your post was so nice. Thank you. I have never been to any of the New England states; someday I will, and I'll bet the coast of Maine is really beautiful.

Aha!!
Delayed getting here by 'necessary chores,' and then thunderstorms...
presently calculating the Risk of Being Online vs The Need to Engage..:))

I even had to open another thread, Billie, to be sure before I put my toe in the lovely waters... you wrote:

Since we've already "saved the world" (which would include taking care of all military and veterans and their families), the door is wide open, I see!
Assuming we are the only one with this enormous power, I'd launch a

*** Fulfill Freeper Dreams Campaign!! ***

Suppose I'd have to have a home somewhere as my base, but I'd like to have a few total luxury motor homes, complete with drivers, mechanics, handymen, cooks, other staff, physician and nurses, etc., to go around America and visit Freepers, giving them what would make them happy!

That way, I could see all of America while meeting some remarkable persons....

Of course I'd give snugs in England all she desired - new home complex where she could have quarters for her Mum and Dad, and complete staff to do everything needed.

Also on the Immediate Do It List would be WVNan, DollyCali and lonestar and lysie and Lakeside and The Mayor and Diver Dave and Texas Termite(Nana) and Brad's Gramma and Numerous Others in the Because I Care Category.....

I'd of course hire our jwfiv with a limitless bank account of his own to go along with us to be able to photograph and write up all the travels...:))
A Doing America Right Adventure!, Johnny Mac!!
[your 2 motor homes would a have full staff, and kitty quarters, naturally..:)]

Hope your bank is truly a bottomess pit, Miss Billie,
'cause I'm imaginin' Big Time!!

P.S.
Weinie would have to be our guiding mascot angel, lonestar...

Wolves have no need for money. But if they did.....

I'd spend it all on my *Billie Blue*.

And *Mama_bear* and *dutchess* and *;Aqua* and *Dolly*.

Ahhhhh....almost makes wolfie wish he were human. : )

You are so sweet. I'm honored to be on that list.

The motorhome travels complete with a driver...I could get used to that. ;-)

I think the President might agree with point 20

Consider buying "older, trained" rescue dog.

IF I WERE A RICH MAN

If I were disgustingly rich, I'd go on a spree
And buy all of Dream Works; Lucasfilms and SKG
Then fire them all and quickly kick them out into the street
Some might say that's vicious, but I think it's kinda neat

I'd them call Mel Gibson of "Passion" fame
And give it to him all at half the price he named
Plus Ten Percent of his gross. To make the kind of films people want to see
After awhile, I'd have even more bucks for another spree!

My next target would be CNN and Ted Turner
Who, with his Ex, I''d tie to a rotisserie burner
And charge a buck fifty to watch on Pay Per View
Then I'd hand a Pink Slip to the entire CNN crew

And go off to pillage Ted's vault of cinematic treasures
Flood CNN's old airwaves just for the pleasure
Of watching old films the way they were meant to be seen
Without a hint of Colorization on the screen

Wolf Blitzer and Christine Anapour
Would be rudely shoved out the door
As I focused my sights on Gannett,
WaPo, Both Coast's Times, Newsweek and the Daily Planet

I'd buy my way into colleges, east to west
To help Conservative students, who are really the best
Hope for our future, I'm sure they're up to the test
While the Fever Swamps of Academe are drained of all its tenured pests!

Forget the limos, private jets and frills!
Fighting the Good Fight takes consummate will and skill
To finally confront Ted, Chuck, Nancy, Hillary and Bill
They'd play dirty, but I'd better ammo and a bigger stack of bills!

Now, see, that is so like our LadyX. Whatta woman - you would be the Santa Clausette of FR! And definitely take Johnny Mac along to record all the good deeds, since you would be so busy taking and fulfilling requests, you might not have time to keep a journal. :) Huggz, Maggie!

WOW ...... since money is no object,
I will get my shopping list!
A couple of new cars, an upstairs AND a downstairs maid.

Since there are a few states that I haven't visited, seeing the USA from my private rail car would be a must.

Thanks for a fun thread, Billie.
