Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay or a profile of another FReeper.

Welcome to TGIF at the Finest!   We hope you've been having as much fun as we have with our essays and/or spotlight on various FReepers. From the beginning, we've been kicking back on Saturdays and Sundays and simply reviewing the features of the week; our weekend threads now start on Friday and continue through Sunday. I believe September holds a significant date for Rus [confusing because his badly injured friend is named Russ] - perhaps the runoff date for the Republican candidates;
with a November date for the election itself against the Democrat (and others?) candidate.

I had a problem with too much space at the top and bottom earlier today.

MamaBear solved the problem for me; now I need to go back and look again to see what she did. :)

I have been using both the left bordered and the square ones. I'm not sure which is easiest for me.

It is great knowing that I can always call for HELP whichever type that I use! :)

Prrimary date is Sept 13th.
It is my son's birthday and he will be able to vote for me on the same day...
He is thrilled.

Yes Maggie we go back 4+ years, through the move there and back.
I love the Log cabin, it is one of my finest pieces of work.

Russ, Dawn and the girls are doing well, the Prayers have worked miracles in his life. He is alive and that alone is the work of God.

I hadn't been on much lately because I was ill yesterday. Luckily, I felt better today, so Winston (my betta fish) and I went on the 6-hour trip to my parents' house. I'll be here for about a week or so.
