NY TIMES INVESTIGATES ADOPTION RECORDS OF SUPREME COURT NOMINEE'S CHILDREN

The DRUDGE REPORT has uncovered a plot in the NEW YORK TIMES' newsroom to look into the adoption of the children of Supreme Court Nominee John G. Roberts.
The TIMES has investigative reporter Glen Justice hot on the case to investigate adoption records of Judge Roberts’ two young children, Josie age 5 and Jack age 4, a top source reveals.
Judge Roberts and his wife Jane adopted the children when they each were infants.
Both children were adopted from Latin America.
A TIMES insider claims the look into the adoptions are part of the paper's "standard background check."
Roberts’ young son Jack delighted millions of Americans during his father’s Supreme Court nomination announcement ceremony when he wouldn’t stop dancing while the President and his father spoke to a national television audience.
Previously the WASHINGTON POST Style section had published a story criticizing the outfits Josie’s and Jack’s mother had them wear at the announcement ceremony.
One top Washington official with knowledge of the NEW YORK TIMES’ plans declared: “Trying to pry into the lives of the Roberts’ family like this is despicable. Children’s lives should be off limits. The TIMES is putting politics over fundamental decency.”
One top Republican official when told of the situation was incredulous. “This can’t possibly be true?”

I'm sure there's a point there somewhere, but I don't get it. Are you saying that if the children are white it must mean that their adoption was illegal? Is it wrong if a white couple has a choice they would choose white children, and if they do they must be bigots? You've lost me.
All I was saying is that it is not impossible for there to be blond children in Latin America who could very well have European roots. And, now get ready for a shock, some white parents may choose to put their children up for adoption. Also, I suppose it isn't impossible that there may have been a surrogate mother involved. Last I heard that was not illegal.

You obviously haven't traveled that much in Latin America, where names like Edwards, Schultz, and Brown are common among the upper class of certain countries. To say nothing of the fact that folks of Basque and Galician ancestry are often blonde or red headed. I can introduce you to several blonde, blue eyed Cuban Americans in Miami if you wish.

no not what I said... you're reading into what I'm posting with your own issues. I could care less what sort of kids people adopt. I am commenting on the very real phenomena of color in Latin American countries.

Maybe the children have done housework and Roberts did not file tax forms on them with the IRS (Kimba Wood flashback).
Two of my great-grandparents were blond Italians, one from Naples, the other from Catania. Neither of which is northern Italy.
Still, that's Italy. Not so many Vikings made it to Latin America, eh? ;)

See my post #243. Too many people are under the impression that all Latin Americans are short and brown. Since most Latino immigrants in the U.S. are from the Mexican underclass, I can see why many Americans have this impression. However, all one has to do is go to Miami to see several blonde, fair skinned folks speaking Spanish or Portuguese.

Many Europeans emigrated to South America over the past couple of centuries. Argentina has many Euros in the populous, so does Brazil. Don't know where these kids came from.
There is a small minority of Freepers who will now claim this disqualifies him from the Court.
Unfortunately the filibuster has already been inflicted by the RATS and their media cronies to delay, obstruct and destroy Judge Roberts! It's gonna get real nasty. I just hope he makes it to the senate floor for a vote!! :(

Yes, this is why the Repubs no longer can adequately represent conservative America. Not only are they not conservative, but they ARE NOT FIGHTERS. Both of these things are a losing combination for real Americans, and a win for the scummy socialists who will fight, at the gutter level and they don't give a damn about what anyone thinks of them. They are fighting for their existence, which we could do without, while the Repubs -- well, I am not sure what they really stand for any more. It stinks. American is really ready for a third party WITH FIGHT AND CONVICTION TO SAVE THE REAL AMERICA.
