NY TIMES INVESTIGATES ADOPTION RECORDS OF SUPREME COURT NOMINEE'S CHILDREN

The DRUDGE REPORT has uncovered a plot in the NEW YORK TIMES' newsroom to look into the adoption of the children of Supreme Court Nominee John G. Roberts.

The TIMES has investigative reporter Glen Justice hot on the case to investigate adoption records of Judge Roberts’ two young children, Josie age 5 and Jack age 4, a top source reveals.

Judge Roberts and his wife Jane adopted the children when they each were infants.

Both children were adopted from Latin America.

A TIMES insider claims the look into the adoptions are part of the paper's "standard background check."

Roberts’ young son Jack delighted millions of Americans during his father’s Supreme Court nomination announcement ceremony when he wouldn’t stop dancing while the President and his father spoke to a national television audience.

Previously the WASHINGTON POST Style section had published a story criticizing the outfits Josie’s and Jack’s mother had them wear at the announcement ceremony.

One top Washington official with knowledge of the NEW YORK TIMES’ plans declared: “Trying to pry into the lives of the Roberts’ family like this is despicable. Children’s lives should be off limits. The TIMES is putting politics over fundamental decency.”

One top Republican official when told of the situation was incredulous. “This can’t possibly be true?”

Why would anyone be at all surprised by something like this?
These people don't really care what the rules were for Chelsea Clinton.
They have such a deep disdain for any conservative, and they can make a career by smearing someone.
People are incredibly naive if they thing a conservative candidate will be treated exactly the same as a liberal one under a Dem president.
It's a reality, I'm sure that Roberts is aware of it.

It's what information may come out about the kids birth mother that may hurt the kids before they are old enough to be told the truth, that bothers me the most about this.

Yes but not many who would adopt out children as most are in these countries. I'm willing to bet white babies in these countries aren't in the same orphanages as everyone else. Even if there's a sintilla of truth to this story, I don't care. The babies weren't aborted. If they started an investigation as to how many illegal white immigrants the rich liberals hire here on Long Island, it'd be a scandal!

No..not that far..you can just about guarantee that ANY private adoption in Latin America involved some degree of "expediting"....i.e. a few envelopes of cash...for the "orphanage" or whatever...it's the way of the world there....all they have to imply is that Roberts greased the skids a little..then he has to prove he didn;t..

A poster on your thread made EXACTLY the point that proves this will be used to play the race card. Here is what the poster said:

"How long and hard does one have to look in Latin America to find such perfect little blondes? And how many little brown children have to get told, 'Sorry, but you just won't do. You aren't blonde enough.' I smell something here. Dare I call it racism?"

So, here we have it straight from the other side; this will be spun as a racism issue, that's what's behind it. Adopting two young children is being spun as telling poor little brown babies, "You're not good enough."

How much can anyone learn from adoption records? Aren't those supposed to be sealed?
But, if they aren't sealed, that's the easiest place to dig up personal info. Adoption agencies do a pretty thorough cavity search.
And sealed or not, all the reporter needs is one person in the records department who is unfriendly to conservatives.
The reporter would never reveal his source, the paper would defend him...wow, I can see this one has potential. Let's hope it blows up in their faces.
