Saturday, July 23, 2005 12:03 a.m. EDT Gitmo Troops Rebuke Ted Kennedy
During his inspection tour of Guantanamo Bay this week, Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy got an earful from U.S. troops running the facility, who blasted Kennedy for his anti-war statements and similar comments by other Democrats.
Soldiers from Kennedy's home state gave him "a piece of their mind," Pentagon officials told the Washington Times Bill Gertz and Rowan Scarborough.
One official said that Kennedy "got a stiff reaction from those home-state soldiers. ... The troops down there expressed their disdain for that kind of commentary, especially comparisons to the gulag." Hawaii Democrat Daniel Akaka, who visited Gitmo along with Kennedy, reportedly got a similar reaction.
Teddy...you gotta watch were you go... numbnuts!
GOOD for them...leave it to a soldier to give a politician a dose of R E A L I T Y..
"What has happened to Massachusetts? Such a rich historical patriotic legacy, yet today they give us the likes of Teddy Kennedy, Jean Fraud sKerri, and the Lollipop Kid"
My guess is that if the Swimmer ever expired or retired, they'd, unfortunately, vote one of his nieces or nephews in to replace him (gotta keep that Kennedy Dynasty going) and they'd be there, forever as well. I suspect that there are parts of MA that may lean conservative, but Beantown and the college towns are all Dims, and that's where the big population is. It's like WA state - Seattle, and the other cities on the I-5 corridor are heavy Dim and the burbs and eastern WA lean Pubbie (though, last time, I think more leaned Pubbie than we know, but because of the lying, cheating Dims, we got Fraudoire). One of the things that amazes me about MA is that it has a heavy Catholic population (especially Boston). I know that Catholics for whatever reason, used to lean Dim; however, over the past decade or so, with the antics of Bubba, and the Popes talking about abortion, marriage, etc., one would hope some of them would see the light - looks like that hasn't happened in MA (including both their Senators).
I've thought about that for a long time and here's what I came up with: The electoral power in MA is concentrated in the eastern part of the state, around the greater Boston area. There you have an unusual and intense concentration of three things--academia, media, and a traditionally corrupt political machine.
The first two come up with these utopian, expensive tax/spend schemes; the politically entrenched are only too happy to oblige. Those fed by the public circus vote their pockets, and those who are part of the academic dream machine vote their fantasies. That combo overwhelms the independent and clear headed.
Thanks for the ping!
LT's best friend ping...Now send sKerry down to get b*tch-slapped, too....
Great news!
These evil/vile left wing $inators got what they deserved.
It is time for conservative Americans across the nation to rebuke these seditious bastards.
Fat Ted is one of the most disgusting creatures that walk the face of the earth. It's time for him to GO!
<------------Senator Full of Hate.
I've long thought the same thing... Well, at least when Susan Smith gets out of jail, she could move to MA and run for senator. She's certainly qualified. After all, if you look at it like a liberal, didn't she just perform a "late term abortion?"

LOL!
Was this reported anywhere else? I seriously doubt it. Because the media has the maintain the image of Murderous Teddy as the grand old "liberal lion" who is beloved by the "little man," including our "poor, uneducated, redneck soldiers."
And just when you wondered where the junior senator from Taxachusettes was, in case you cared,....Kerry pops up on OLN! At the Tour de France, in France, where else. Spouting off about Lance's future as a possible politician, yada, yada, yada. No sign of the fair TerAYsa, however.
Details, anyone?
One freeper has a tagline that says something like: "More people have died in Ted Kennedy's car that at the Gitmo Prison!"
It's true.
