Saturday, July 23, 2005 12:03 a.m. EDT Gitmo Troops Rebuke Ted Kennedy
During his inspection tour of Guantanamo Bay this week, Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy got an earful from U.S. troops running the facility, who blasted Kennedy for his anti-war statements and similar comments by other Democrats.
Soldiers from Kennedy's home state gave him "a piece of their mind," Pentagon officials told the Washington Times Bill Gertz and Rowan Scarborough.
One official said that Kennedy "got a stiff reaction from those home-state soldiers. ... The troops down there expressed their disdain for that kind of commentary, especially comparisons to the gulag." Hawaii Democrat Daniel Akaka, who visited Gitmo along with Kennedy, reportedly got a similar reaction.

I can only say it's about time someone from his 'home' blasted him. No kidding! What has happened to Massachusetts? Such a rich historical patriotic legacy, yet today they give us the likes of Teddy Kennedy, Jean Fraud sKerri, and the Lollipop Kid. Citizens of MA need to be held accountable like citizens of SD were until they unseated that guy who used to be the Senate majority leader...I happily forgot his name.

Kennedy is such a loser! Thanks for the ping! :)

Sadly, the harsh words of his Kennedy's own constituents working at Gitmo will go unheeded by The Rotund One.
The only voice in Cuba that Teddy heeds is that of Fidel Castro.

I was just a boy when Chappaquidick happened. A few days ago I read details of what actually occurred. I had a hard time getting to sleep thinking about the horror that poor girl suffered and the fact that the state of Mass. has reelected this monster over and over again.

Heck, let's face facts. Freepers know what's happening in the world before the MSM can even get their phones turned on.
I have seen articles in my local bird cage liner 3 days after a thorough hashing on FR.

Where did you read a factual account of The Swimmer's Big Adventure? I was young when it occurred, too, and the impression I had was there was a significant coverup.
Whenever Kennedy opens his seditious mouth he reflects poorly upon the people of MA. Good Americans everywhere should let the folks of MA know that they are responsible for foisting such a low character individual upon the nation and that we don't appreciate it. Boycott Boston!

Funny, I did not hear this story reported in the MSM news broadcasts. Perhaps I missed it somewhere in the endless drumbeat of 'Rove... Rove... Rove'.

You do realize that Teddy is and was incapable to being anything other than a Senator. I swear, his family bought and paid for his seat because he wasn't able to do anything that resembled work.
