Oh yes there is. Don't right-wing conservatives go around telling people how evil society is and how we should change it? That what some people do in their personal lives hurts society and damages children.

Anyone getting this riled up over this pot issueThe issue isn't pot. The issue is federalism and the Commerce Clause. Read Thomas' dissent for a clue; it's his finest moment.

Laws are made to be broken.More or less... We live in a commonlaw nation. Whenever a higher principle (as evidenced in the Constitution) contradicts the law, the law is invalid. That's why the line between seeing deeply into the constitution and twisting it is so hotly debated. Thank God for a country where no law prevents plain debate!

Would you rather them being drunk, sleeping at the wheel, or talking on the cell phone, messing with the kids in the back, etc? Want them banned to?
I find it funny that alcohol is legal even though it is more addictive, kills more people (themselves and others) than marijuana, yet marijuana is illegal. No one has ever died by overdosing on pot, it is medically impossible.

They are a tough crowd no doubt.
Never knew there were so many anti-freepers.
Good luck

Don't right-wing conservatives go around telling people how evil society is and how we should change it? That what some people do in their personal lives hurts society and damages children. What does that have to do with this decision? Nothing whatsoever. Ginsberg, Breyer, Souter, and Stevens are not right-wing in any way shape matter or form. This decision is pro-New Deal through and through. By definition, anyone who approves of it can in no way be called a conservative. You're confusing dimwit authoritarians who think they're conservative with genuine "classic liberal" conservatives.

BTW.... when you get some time.... you can do a google search on --- New Testament 40 lines in doubt ---- . I'm not making that up. You may disagree with the apologists (in fact I'm guessing that you will)... but that's a pretty common statememt.

Laws are made to be broken.,
Actually doesn't this ruling keep the states from heavy taxation and regulation of marijuana, something they would most likely be all too willing to jump right on?
Just a thought, that would surely drive up prices, right?

They were not big into personal responsibility, which is probably how they got into pot to begin with. Inmates have a tendency to lie about their innocence...my point is that they were most likely lying to your mom

You and the rest of the "I am not voting Republican again" crowd will NEVER convince me you were lifelong Republicans and I believe I speak for a lot of folks on here
ROFL!
Those who have been on FR for any length of time know how strong a supporter of both Bush's I have been. I don't care what you believe, and I don't care what you do with your crotch or your appetite.
I am against the use of pot for anything. Someone on pot ran through a stop sign and hit my car and caused me to have a shoulder injury
Well, using your logic...A van of Baptist Bible study students ran a red light hit my son's car and put my grandchild in a wheel chair. I am against the use of Baptist for anything!
If you believe this is about pot, you are an extremely gullible person. When government can dictate, against the will of the voters, what medicine you can or can not put in you're own body, your body is the property of that government.
You feel secure now because a pentecost is in the White House. Will you still be happy when a secularist is in the White House and uses this decision to pass legislation curbing religious intolerance of abortion and gay marriage?
The constitution has been declared null and void with this decision and you support that.
don't give me the crap
I don't need to give you any, you're already knee deep in it!

More like 1848. German parliamentarians opposed to the monarchy were known as "liberals."

Can someone tell me when the 10th Amendment was repealed?
Disgraceful.

The decision appeals to some in the right-wing. Sicila(sp?) voted against it as well. There are conservatives who would disagree with you, many are on this site.
