Check out the accompanying article by Ajai Raj, a sophomore at the University of Texas who publicly kept yelling obscenities during Ann Coulter’s speech and then publicly asked her, “You say that you believe in the sanctity of marriage, how do you feel about marriages where the man does nothing but f--- his wife up the ass?”

Just about a week earlier a leftist publicly asked Justice Antonin Scalia if he engaged in anal sex with his wife (who was present).

These symbolize to me one of the most profound differences between the Left and the Right. I do not believe the Left recognizes how thin the line between civilization and chaos/evil is. As a Jew born shortly after the Holocaust, Nazi Germany and the gas chambers play a great role in my thinking. I recognize that the most cultured European country built Auschwitz; that Nazism was a secular, not a Christian ideology; that Ph.D.’s and intellectuals led the way to the death camps just as they did to the Gulag and other Communist holocausts.

Universities and museums were morally worthless in Weimar and Nazi Germany as they are now in America and Europe. So I have a primal fear of the moral chaos that follows the breaking down of America’s real moral foundations, such as Judeo-Christian values, public decency, freedom of speech, and the military.

I see in this student who screams obscenities at a conservative speaker and all the students who joined or supported him, our version of the Hitler Youth, our barbarians. To me screaming down speakers at colleges (as I saw the Left do at Columbia University when I was a graduate student during the Vietnam War) and screaming obscenities represent barbarity. To most of those on the Left, these students are at worst, a bit over the top, and at best fighters against what they most fear – conservatives – not barbarity.

That's not true. Most of the foundng members of the Nazi party were ex-military soreheads; Hitler was a failed artist, Himmler a former chicken farmer, Goering a ace pilot, and Goebbels a failed writer. In Russia, Lenin had most of the educated class killed, jailed, or exiled. Stalin was a bandit before his time as a barbaric dictator. In China, Mao shut down the schools for years and had many teachers executed or sent to work on forced labor projects.

This sort of assertation makes us look stupid.

I did.. This young "man" is nothing more than a "child" attending college.

He ends his little rant with..."And I can think of at least one jackass here who can dish it out better than you."

"Dish" out what? Foul words and physical obscenities? Any little punk in Jr. High could do that. He whines about being arrested. I agree with him... he should not have been arrested. Judging from his words and actions, he should have been spanked like any other immature and intellectually deficient little creep like him should be. Maybe even take his Game Boy away. These tactics always work with my 8 yr old.

You must read history a bit more deeply. The intellectual class in Germany, which included many of the founders of the Eugenics movement, was profoundly sympathetic to Nazi racism, and while these elites may have smirked at the crudities of a Himmler or a Hitler, they were able to carry water for the brutes in the academy, where the intellectual underpinning of what became the Final Solution were laid.

It is underappreciated that the killings of the mentally infirm and other undesirables began in the University affilliated hospitals and large city mental institutions in the mid-1930's. The techniques of mass killings, and the use of gas chambers and large crematoria, and other tools necessary for truly mass extirminations, were perfected long before war was officially begun -- and before the list of undesirables was expanded to include not just the physically and mentally infirm, but the racially infirm-- ie. Jews, and Gypsies, and Slavs and Catholics.

These methods were developed and perfected by physicians and engineers in the full view, and with the full intellectual acceptance of their peers.

So you see it is not proper to suppose that it was a bunch of thugs and soreheads that did this--the German people and in particular the German intellectual class were deeply implicated.

Acts of violence against conservatives have already been reported. Quickly forgotten were the shootings and bricks through the windows of Republican election offices during the last campaign.

Their frustration will lead to violence. An animal will always turn violent when it has its back against a wall.

Thanks again. He's so right about this campus barbarism. It is exceedingly threatening to American democracy, and I applaud the efforts of David Horiwitz and Ann Coulter, to combat this threat.

A lesson from History.

Ghandi succeeded in wresting India from the British through non violent protest because the British were very decent.

This tactic only works when your opponents are better than you are.

When non violent protest was tried in Checzoclovakia, China, Hungary people were slaughtered.

Why, because those being protested against were not decent.

The left claims to espouse non violet protest but they are not non violent. They are the first to pick up stones and assault the police, old women, children and commit crimes against property.

When they don't get the desired effect they become more flamboyant and violent. Witness PETA and ELF.

They trust that the rest of us are like the British. To decent to retaliate.

What is required is to strike them down forcefully when they act up.

It requires the populace and the government to have a back bone. You have to press charges and prosecute.

Hey there Einstein, Hitler gained quite a bit of popularity speaking at German Universities. In fact, he was hip to the youngsters in College as the left wing scum are today - in Europe and America. Albert Speer joined up with Hitler after seeing him speak at a German University, while he was finishing up his college education.
