The Free Muslims Against Terrorism are proud to announce that on May 14, 2005, Muslims and Middle Easterners of all backgrounds will converge on our nation's Capital for a rally against terrorism and to support freedom and democracy in the Middle East and the Muslim world. This will be the first rally of its kind in Washington, D.C., that is led by Muslims and Middle Easterners.
Join us in sending a message to radical Muslims and supporters of terrorism that we reject them and that we will do all we can to defeat them.
We also want to send a message of hope to the people of the Muslim world and the Middle East who seek freedom, democracy and who reject radical Islam that we are with them and that we will do all we can to support them.
Just another islamic oxymoron to add to the list:
1. Islam is a religion.
2. Islam is a religion of peace.
3. Moderate Muslim.
4. Muslim-American.
5. Arab Ally.
6. Muslim March Against Terror.
They'd rather sit back and complain how misunderstood they are.
But I still disagree. MSM has apologized for Muslims consistently since 9/11. I have yet to see Islam portrayed as anything other than "Religion of Peace". I have yet to see any of the rebuilding going on in Iraq and Afghanistan. The only time I see MSM portray our soldiers as heroes is when they are coming home in a box.
What I do see is alot of anti-American propoganda. I see grab-abu pics (many proven false). I see stories of our soldiers shooting unarmed, wounded "insurgents". I read about our soldiers desecrating the Qu'ran (which also appears to be false).
I see numerous beheading videos, our citizens burned carcasses continuously being violated while hanging from a bridge. I recall Palestinians burning our flags and cheering in the streets -- celebrating the destruction of 9/11.
Muslims would be given all the airtime they wanted. I have seen and read of several so-called Muslim clerics and scholars making a half-assed attempt to "denounce" terrorism. They still blame American foreign policy and whitewash Qu'ranic verses compelling Muslims to Jihad. They instead mislead w/ abrogated Meccan verses.
I used to buy into the fairy tale that Islam is a Religion of Peace -- that most are decent people. After years of study, I'm hip to their agenda. Let's see a fatwa against Terrorism and UBL. I won't hold my breath.
And of the 50 or so that showed up for that march? I'm willing to bet there were alot of Rachel Corries and very few Muslims.
You're assuming all the show-upees were Muslim. Some could have been non-Muslims.

I wasn't aware of the fatwa, not that I am impressed. It wasn't in response to terrorist acts against Americans, but Spaniards -- and I am sure that the fatwa was issued to appease those that for the past year have been vocal that Spain pulling their troops was for naught. But hey.....I guess it's a start.

This was no march. There was nothing to cover. The lack of attendance demonstrates their lack of commitment.

Okay, so you don't even understand that the "al Qaeda in Iraq" group is not the same as the fatwa issuers? They are militants. Clearer now?
Do you know the difference between "Good" and "Bad" Muslims -- and those trapped under the veil of Islam? Those that fear leaving the faith? Please enlighten me -- what is a "Moderate" Muslim?
Why would any decent human being follow such an evil ideology? Why don't these "moderate" Muslims denounce the actual Qu'ranic verses compelling those to violence? Why are they not denouncing their pedophile false prophet? Why has Islam been at war w/ every race, faith and Country since it's inception 1350+ years ago? Was there ever a period of peace? Is there anything redeeming about Islam at all?
Why did less than 50 Muslims show for this march? And of those that did show, an even smaller percentage were actual Muslims.
And why do we continue to apologize to these fanatics instead of calling them on their own hate and intolerance?
I do know the difference between "good" and "bad Muslims. And I empathize w/ those trapped under Shar'ia law. I'm also aware that it is very hard for a Muslim to denounce his faith, as the penalty for apostacy is death. But our appeasement isn't going to solve anything. We need to call out Islam for it's blatant disregard of Human rights and educate those willing to listen.
I am informed -- are you? Or do you wish to remain ignorant to the threat we all face? It's not "Militants" or "Radicals". The threat is Islam itself.

Witness,for example, how Islam treats their own women and what Sharia law really intends for Western cultures it lusts to dominate.
As long as Islam is only in the take over phase it must pretend to be benign..and uses those who have been duped in to believing Islam as benign as field agents...once the real Islam comes to power these folks will be re-educated or removed..imo
The religion of peace face is merely for the rubes..and those who are working with them to destroy western culture..The Jews and Christians and the materialists/hedonists of the west..
Muslims are warriors by nature and by spiritual power
they are about conquering cultures through violence..
