After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.

Fine, I was proud of the Congress (including many Demorcats) and the president. Surely they can figure something out there is still time.
Oh, in your initial ppost you said you hadn't taken your children and gotton a diagnosis because of your fear. You never mentioned they had a diagnosis. Is it your diagnosis or have they perchance seen a doctor?
If so, you said they had not in your initial post.
What is your problem and why are you taking it out on someone who is worried about her children?
As for your other posts, Terri's life transcends politics. That's something Jeb and George should have known, and is why they are taking heat from quite a few of the people who supported them. If I think Jeb didn't do enough to try to save Terri's life, that (R) by his name isn't going to stop me from criticizing him.
If these things are not a concern to you I suspect you aren't raising any handicapped children.
Maybe the Terri situation prompted her to sign up here. But, please, show a bit of empathy and give her the benefit of the doubt.
Just asking...:-)
Actually Atty Gibbs said this afternoon that it is too late to save Terri. It was posted on FR.
Will you join me as we stand Vigil for this mother's child who is still struggling so? The Lord admonishes us to lay aside all rancor ... this is the only time we have with our beloved Terri ... the only time we can pray for her comfort ... the only time we can seek the Lord's intervention, while she yet lives ...
Congress issued subpoenas. They should enforce them. Until they do, I will hold the opinion that they didn't do all they could to save Terri.
My problem is that she indicated she had not taken her children to see a doctor and get a diagnosis.
That makes me impatient. Doesn't it make anyone impatient to see a person do that. Isn't that one of the things that causes children unnecessary pain and suffering.
I do not know her. Some said her children were autistic but she did not say that in her post. Her initial post is at odds were her later posts.
Well I would hope so, but the Truth is the majority of leg work is going to have to be done by us.
The main reason that tube was taken from Terri is because the American people endorsed it. It's the same reason R v W stands. Oh, people may now say as a majority they are against it, but they aren't willing to deny it to others. Nor were they willing to say starving an innocent is wrong and challenge the courts.
The change has to occur among the American people before it can be recognized in action in the Government. So, they have to be told the Truth. They have to be taught to value Life. They have to be taught the Constitution. This is going to have to be done in our families, among our friends, in our Churches, in the schools.
When Americans want something, they generally get it. We have to convince them to want to live independent of Judicial decree.
thank-you for the reference to Hosea. I just e-mailed the verse to my son and daughter along with information about this whole issue. They don't want to be involved with current issues and that verse was just for them.
Walk with Your Daughter's Family, Dear Father our King, as they Lean on You for Sustainance and Grace. Vindicate Your children on the Day of our Lord, as they Behold with their Eyes the Recompense of Wicked Men. Thou hast a Book, O God our Great King, and All things will come Up in Remembrance before Thee.
Hold our Sister Close, Dear Papa-Father, as we Pray in the Name of Jesus, Your Son, amen.
family does not agree and neither did prest that gave communion.
Amen!
I have one child with a confirmed diagnosis. I have one that is slightly too young for the diagnosis to be confirmed. They are not ill. I NEVER said that I had not taken them to the doctor when they were ill. I said that I was afraid of what the ramifications would be if I did in light of state santioned murder of 'cognitivley disabled' people. If you are going to flame me at least don't try to say that I said things that I did not.
So happy to see you here!!!
We need a voice of reason. :)
