I have one child with a confirmed diagnosis. I have one that is slightly too young for the diagnosis to be confirmed. They are not ill. I NEVER said that I had not taken them to the doctor when they were ill. I said that I was afraid of what the ramifications would be if I did in light of state santioned murder of 'cognitivley disabled' people. If you are going to flame me at least don't try to say that I said things that I did not.
Soul Seeker gave me some good advise the other day on another thread. It's worthless to argue with some people. Some people are just looking for a way to cause you pain. I know it's difficult not to respond sometimes and I can't always stop myself but remember it's not you that's the problem, it's them.
You said disabled, that means ill to me. And you said you were afraid to take them to pursue a diagnosis or treatment. So I took that at face value. I believed your initial post.
I don't think there is general state sanctioned murder of autistic children. The government is doing what it can to provide schooling, mainstreaming, social security benefits for children with serious illness. The entire country including pediatricians are in an uproar over the epidemic of autism. People are working to see what can be done for your children. And they have you. I don't think they are at risk for having this happen to them. And I don't think you need to needlessly worry. Theree are many many parents in your position and support is all around.
Be strong, they need that, and know that all around are people who will help you and them. This country is not going to be killing children who are autistic. It just won't happen.
