My problem is that she indicated she had not taken her children to see a doctor and get a diagnosis.

That makes me impatient. Doesn't it make anyone impatient to see a person do that. Isn't that one of the things that causes children unnecessary pain and suffering.

I do not know her. Some said her children were autistic but she did not say that in her post. Her initial post is at odds were her later posts.

I did not indicate that I 'ahd not' I indicated that I was afraid to pursue it in light of recent developments. I never said that I did not or won't. I expressed a ferar that is all.

This is the last thing I'm gonna post about this. Just cut sfi mom some slack and let's move on.

Autism is one disoder on a spectrum of Pervasive Personality Developments. It's not an illness or a disease. Has more to do with how the brain functions.

Kids with autistic tendencies are somewhat different. But they can also be very bright and talented. Some are more severe than others. Many people with autistic spectrum disorders make amazing contributions...Einstein was one.

The fear here (I'm sure for sfimom) is that IN THE FUTURE, anyone with a label placed on them, even by a doctor, might be in danger.

We just need to fight so it doesn't come to that.
