TERRI SCHIAVO DAILY MARCH 2005 PART 6- NO FOOD OR WATER IN THE 6TH-7TH DAYS - GOOD FRIDAY
various | 3-24-05

Posted on 03/25/2005 12:17:45 AM PST by STARWISE

Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.

Amen nicmarlo. Believe me, I had a few precious moments with our Savior tonight in the marvelous service, I think they called it a teniur, or something like that. Great reflective moments and communion. Surrendering ALL to JESUS, puts everything in proper perspectice. Thanks for the words of this great hymn.

This needs a thread of it's own. I would post the whole article.

I agree; it needs it's own thread.

"uncovered evidence that Pinellas-Pasco County Circuit Judge George W. Greer accepted a campaign contribution from the law firm of Michael Schiavo’s attorney only one day after "Terri’s Law” was declared unconstitutional by a Pinellas county court.

This appears to establish a clear conflict of interest between Judge Greer and the best interests of Terri Schiavo. "

George Noory just reported this story on Coast to Coast AM a few seconds ago. He commented that it's an apparent conflict of interest. Also, that it doesn't matter that the amount was small, it's the principle of the thing.

I sent him a quick thank you at george@coasttocoastam.com

It's my understanding that archangels are indeed the big brawny type.. protectors.. not chubby faced cherubs we often see in valentine's cartoons.. anyone else want to weigh in on this one?

We must always remember: God loves us and cares about us....He even knows the number of hairs on our head. Nothing escapes His notice. Not one thing.

I've seen so many hymms posted this week. Someone was very right when they said nothing is the same as playing hymms on the piano when the world doesn't seem right. I saw something today that I haven't seen in years. I couldn't help but think it has something to do with this case. In our downtown there was a Salvation Army man, singing hymms today. It was one of the most beautiful things I've heard in a long time. (We went around the block several times)

oh valleygal you probably need to get some rest. I was so emotional drained that I would just stop and gusher tears uncontrollably. My hubby felt that I was just going to collapse and has tried to encourage me to step away from the computer, tv, and radio. It was helpful. We actually went out with our daughter , sil, and grandchildren after the service and had a great time of joy and laughter. It helped me a lot.

The incident, known only to a few and related to The Herald by three different sources involved in Thursday's events, underscores the intense emotion and murky legal terrain that the Schiavo case has created. It also shows that agencies answering directly to Gov. Jeb Bush had planned to use a wrinkle in Florida law that would have allowed them to legally get around the judge's order. The exception in the law allows public agencies to freeze a judge's order whenever an agency appeals it.

I am assuming this is a MSM newspaper. If that is the case, why aren't the rest of the media picking up on the story by now? If I knew virtually nothing about this case and read that, radar signals that something sinister was going on would have gone off.

I have a few articles about Greer in my personal files, so don't remember where I got it from.

But another poster posted this. I'm going to search for that other poster and let you know who it is.

"found this on Florida Elections website after a Search on this page:
http://election.dos.state.fl.us/campfin/contrib.asp

This is the contribution Felos made to Judge Greer, one day after Terri's Law was declared unconstitutional."

If anyone has a fax, this should get to Governor Bush, or maybe Attorney Greer.

unbefreakinlievable! I don't even think the police can legally do this! Of course that doesn't stop those nazis.. luckily..this is now known to more than just a few.. Hannity was talking it up.. I'm sure Scarborough was.. it will get around.. these guys are causing more of a commotion for themselves than they know.. by resisting harder and harder, they are putting themselves in the spotlight..which isn't a good place for them..

Thank you, you have a talent with words. Actually, a wonderful piece of fiction. (golf applause)

Her parents want to keep her here because there love for her and they would like to see her. That is admirable and frankly preferable if I had anything to do with it. But I do not and we are a country of laws.

I do not engage in name calling or putting another down for their express opinion misguided or not, we should be able to have this frank discussion openly and honestly.

Why the hell does anyone, who like you is so talented to tell me what I might be thinking instead gives reflection of what she is thinking (with out your bias)

What will surprise most is that it is possible that she has some awareness? I would have to hope she does because it has been a long 15 years other wise she has been laying there screaming that she is in limbo, that from her vantage point returning to her Heavenly Father is preferable. I do not know which but I do think it is possible that either the above might in fact be true.

Will have to ask once I go to the great beyond.

I hear that what they want is another review. While I feel that this was to be done since the last time Gov Bush was involved, if I were the judge would have put both sides to the coals and demanded that they get their act together, put them on a schedule and if either party has not completed what they needed to make their case well, one would have to accept the decision no matter what.

Yet, if they received a stay, reviewed all the records, threw out or validated previous findings, either side would not allow this to end. So, lets call a spade a spade.

I am not impressed with last minute tactics and I do think that the parents would have had a much stronger case had they not gone the route the did with their court cases. While I disagree with the attorney for Gore (Boys or something like that) he did bring up some strong arguments for the parents and wondered why they were not pursued.

Everybody is a back seat driver. I do offer prayers. I do hope that Terri will find peace either while remaining on this earth or once she is in the arms of her Heavenly Father.

I have said and I suppose will say again, that I do believe that the husband/wife relationship trumps all other relationships unless the spouse was injured at the same time. He may be a cad but he feels he is doing this as it is her wishes. He has said he is to receiving any monies as a result of death. Frankly, no matter what he said, those who disagree with him will never believe him and that is our right. But is it fair?

I appreciate your comment.
