Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
I also want to appologize to the list for anything that I might have possibly said that was un-Christlike. May Jesus Christ be reflected in all I do and say. Polly
Sorry. I'm not from your neck of the woods so I wouldn't understand "oink" language. har har
The MSM is protecting the judges because that is the branch they need to bypass the legislature.
It is also the branch which allows them to keep sources confidential.
Amen and Amen.
By deeming yourself above other's prayers and calling theirs an expression of moral superiority, aren't you doing the same?
Give it a rest.
Greer Got Donation From Mike Schiavo's Lawyer
Reclaiming America, an organization backed by Rev. D. James Kennedy, reported that a serious conflict of interest may exist for the Fla. State Judge who is ruling on the Terri Schiavo case.
The report from Reclaiming America follows: As if the circumstances surrounding Terri Schiavo could not get any more suspicious, the Center for Reclaiming America has uncovered evidence that Pinellas-Pasco County Circuit Judge George W. Greer accepted a campaign contribution from the law firm of Michael Schiavos attorney only one day after "Terris Law was declared unconstitutional by a Pinellas county court.
This appears to establish a clear conflict of interest between Judge Greer and the best interests of Terri Schiavo.
Judge Greer has been responsible for establishing "the facts in the case of Terri Schiavo. Sadly, he has dismissed or ignored testimony from 33 physicians (15 neurologists) who are willing to testify that Terri is not in a persistent vegetative state and can improve, he has refused to allow the Florida Department of Children and Families to conduct a criminal investigation of Michael Schiavo, he has refused to honor a subpoena from the U.S. Congress, and he has blocked virtually all efforts from the Schindler family to save the life of their daughter.
According to public records available from the Florida Department of State: Division of Elections, Judge George W. Greer received a campaign contribution from the law firm of Felos & Felos during his re-election efforts in the spring of 2004.
Of course, no direct evidence suggests collusion between the two parties, but the timing of the campaign contribution is highly suspect.
On May 6, 2004, a Pinellas county court struck down legislation ("Terris Law) passed by the Florida legislature and signed by Governor Jeb Bush, which was designed to halt a previous attempt to starve Terri Schiavo to death.
On May 7, 2004 only one day after the ruling Judge Greer received a campaign gift from the law firm of Michael Schiavos attorney.
This was not due to a fundraising effort, as this was the only contribution made to the Greer campaign fund on that particular day.
Have you ever read this?

I will go to bed here soon and pray that your prayers will be answered and that Terri will live. However, I am in fear that when I wake up on Holy Saturday morning Terri will be with her God.
Is this information out amongst any of the big name news networks? Who has been notified so far.. or is this brand new to us?
I'm glad you felt renewed. I felt better for awhile today but I'm feeling fairly discouraged tonight. I am, however, very, very tired after little sleep for 3 days so that might have alot to do with it.
Ditto. This has been a very emotional time and we have reacted accordingly. It has however, been done in love and caring for this young woman who is starving to death in front of her parents, family and the world. It is a black day in our country. The Devil has won I am afraid.
Jesus knows thy sorrow,
Knows thine every care;
Knows thy deep contrition,
Hears thy feeblest prayer;
Do not fear to trust Him --
Tell Him all thy grief;
Cast on Him thy burden,
He will bring relief.
Trust the heart of Jesus,
Thou art precious there;
Surely He would shield thee
From the tempter's snare;
Safely He would lead thee,
By His own sweet way,
Out into the glory
Of a brighter day.
Jesus knows thy conflict,
Hears thy burdened sigh;
When thy heart is wounded,
Hears thy plaintive cry;
He thy soul will strengthen,
Overcome thy fears;
He will send thee comfort,
Wipe away thy tears.
No, I'm not doing the same.
I'm not posting self-righteous prayers for those I disagree with petitioning God to heal their "evil" hearts.
Incredible!
I defer to someone who knows about "archangels".
I found a thread out in the forum which I can't find at the moment that said Jeb Bush could file a criminal complaint and that might work. Who know anymore. He was evidently told that by someone from the Thomas Moore Foundation.
Police 'Showdown' Averted ['Team of State Agents Were En Route to Seize Terri']
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1371027/posts
The Pinellas police are out of control. Gov BUsh is letting a two bit judicial dictator call the shots. This is a nightmare.
Excerpt from story in Miami Herald above:
Hours after a judge ordered that Terri Schiavo was not to be removed from her hospice, a team of state agents were en route to seize her and have her feeding tube reinserted -- but they stopped short when local police told them they would enforce the judge's order, The Herald has learned.
Agents of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement told police in Pinellas Park, the small town where Schiavo lies at Hospice Woodside, on Thursday that they were on the way to take her to a hospital to resume her feeding.
For a brief period, local police, who have officers at the hospice to keep protesters out, prepared for what sources called ``a showdown.''
In the end, the squad from the FDLE and the Department of Children & Families backed down, apparently concerned about confronting local police outside the hospice.
''We told them that unless they had the judge with them when they came, they were not going to get in,'' said a source with the local police.
''The FDLE called to say they were en route to the scene,'' said an official with the city police who requested anonymity. ``When the sheriff's department and our department told them they could not enforce their order, they backed off.''
The incident,known only to a few and related to The Herald by three different sources involved in Thursday's events, underscores the intense emotion and murky legal terrain that the Schiavo case has created. It also shows that agencies answering directly to Gov. Jeb Bush had planned to use a wrinkle in Florida law that would have allowed them to legally get around the judge's order. The exception in the law allows public agencies to freeze a judge's order whenever an agency appeals it.
