TERRI SCHIAVO DAILY MARCH 2005 PART 6- NO FOOD OR WATER IN THE 6TH-7TH DAYS - GOOD FRIDAY
various | 3-24-05

Posted on 03/25/2005 12:17:45 AM PST by STARWISE

Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.

DO NOT ANSWER THESE PEOPLE! You are not going to sway them, and by encouraging them, you disrupt an oasis here.

Sorry couldn't help myself.

I wept all week for Terri to be forced into such horrific suffering.

Now I am beginning to look into immigration.

Proverbs 8:36 But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

Are there any athiests who do NOT think Terri should die? Interesting.

Does anyone think it is the athiesm of our current jucidiary that is providing us with a culture of death?

Thanks. Know anything about the $14mm suit and Atty Johnathan Alpert? Or donations by Soros to this place or anything? See http://home.earthlink.net/~joyinlife/

Terri's case is at the bottom. Elsewhere I found references to this as a precedent.

I'm not in a position to disseminate very well right now, but will join you when I get home.

In the meantime, I'm sending you good vibes, lightning fast typing skills, and MOST OF ALL, prayers.

If you were in Terri's condition, how would you want them to treat you

I WANT LIFE. I'M NOT A COWARD.

Post 922 & 938

You have no Scripture to support your stand. This conversation is over.

Why did you tell me to "get real"?

Figure how many days elapse between the feeding tube removed and Terri's demise (if it occurs, Lord forbid).

Then, in the next death penalty case in the USA, agitate in another state that food and water be removed for the same amount of time from the prisoner prior to his execution.

There would be an emergency ruling by a Federal Court (probably upheld by USSC), that this cannot be done to a human being.

The KEY would be to get the ruling that it cannot be done to a "human being", and not just "a death row inmate condemned to die" (as I am sure the libs would prefer).

If something was on the books, maybe it would prevent this travesty from happening in the future.

So if a person signs a living will, says he/she does not want tubes, oxygen, etc. The tube is removed, oxygen is removed, the woman sits up in the hospital bed and says "I'm hungry"
Should food be brought to her?

have commented on that extensively in past articles. It was passed in 1999....Look at the Schiavogate article .... One of the legislators that passed it was Gus Bilkaris, hospice board member whose father is a member of COngress and the Health Care Committee. Bilkaris also a donator to Greer's campaign.

I thought you had commented on it.....thanks for pinpointing where I saw it at The Emprie Journal.... "Bilkaris also a donator to Greer's campaign" .... again, the money comes up.

WC: So, let's try again: If you were in Terri's condition, how would you want them to treat you? Restore the feeding tube and continue the maintenance and the diapers or let you die? Which would you prefer? Surely you can say.

CL: Geesh all that comes to mind when I read this is the image of the devil in the Passion during the agony in the garden scene...........sure you can ssssssssssssay yesssssssss. Ugggg!

I'm sorry. Yes, what? Yes, you want them to restore the feeding tube to you and continue the maintenance and the diapers? Or Yes, you want them to let you die? Which is it?

.....how could one reasonably or logically believe that it was Terri's wish to be starved/dehydrated to death if such an "option" was a felony when Terri could have stated "no tubes for me" as Felos claims she said.

That is so simply put...yet SO important!

There are pro-life atheists - I have met a few. Somewhere along the way, they have decided that the morality of life is right just because...similar to Paul saying that nature itself teaches those who don't know God something about the right and wrong of things.

Sorry.

Remember about the family member I mentioned who's disabled and worried that old age isn't going to be anything much past 50, thanks to all this? Well, let's just say I had things to do.

And none of their Scripture fits the situation. They take one out of context and use it incorrectly. The modern church has done it's work well. They try to convince that even God doesn't believe in the sanctity of life. Ludicrous.

I asked that question this morning. At least one judge has ruled "Tough. You aren't competent. Your earlier wishes rule" to a woman who had had a stroke.

Of course, just following the Ten Commandments that are posted prominently in the Supreme Court would sure solve this case in a hurry.
