Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
consider yourself bumped, and hugged.
Well, I went back and checked your posts and you didn't say what you would want for yourself if you were in Terri's condition. You say you "have accepted every cross or burden I've been asked to bear." I'm sure that is true. I am sure you are a courageious man as you contend.
But the test here, according to Jesus, is: "In everything, treat others as you would want them to treat you, for this fulfills the law and the prophets." (Mt 7:13) It is not 'treat them as you have been treated' or 'treat them as you have been able to endure'. It is "as you would want them to treat you."
So, let's try again: If you were in Terri's condition, how would you want them to treat you? Restore the feeding tube and continue the maintenance and the diapers or let you die? Which would you prefer? Surely you can say.
Thanks.
I'll be disseminating furiously!
This thread HAS been an oasis, a life line, at least to me. Last night I had three or four threads open, and was going back and forth between them all, trying to get news and encouragement and understanding. There was so much bickering and contention, and just plain bad feelings going on! Everyone was stressed, and it showed. The more I hopped, the more upset I became.
I had this thread open as well, and kept coming back. Finally I stopped hopping and started reading. Words of hope and understanding. Faith in God was evidenced. I knew that, even if the battle was lost, and poor Terri slipped away, we could together find the PURPOSE behind all of this, and maybe a way to fight back, together. For a time, my tears dried, and I felt renewed hope. Grief remains, but so does a sense of purpose that transcends this great tragedy.
SO FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, DON'T ENCOURAGE THE TROLLS. WE DON'T NEED THEM POLLUTING THE ATMOSPHERE. :o)

have commented on that extensively in past articles. It was pasased in 1999. Look at the Schiavogate article at www.theempirejournal.com. One of the legislators that passed it was Gus Bilkaris, hospice board member whose father is a member of COngress and the Health Care Committee. Bilkaris also a donator to Greer's campaign
What did you say? I just got back everyone, what has happend since this morning? Anything NEW?
Greer's wife's name is Gail Patricia Greer
Proverbs 8:35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
Proverbs 8:36 But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.
I laugh outloud with incredulous disblief every time one of the death mongers quotes scripture to defend murder in the name of Christ.
RE: 1098: Could it be the one on the left? The Swamp Judge that's going down with the gators?
see the guidelines at the bottom of post 1085
And this is exactly what should be alarming every single American. A person killed by a court ordering no food or fluids in any manner.
Then back track a bit on telling them the address.
They'd probably go ballistic, urging you to tell them. But I wonder how long it would take the Humane Society to realize you were actually talking about a HUMAN BEING in Pinellas County, rather than a pet, and accordingly, for them to suddenly lose their hot interest?
I'm afraid I missed that passage. Where is it found -- "implicity"?
RIGHT! FOLKS, if you want at least one thread FREE OF CONTENTION AND HATRED AND ENCOURAGEMENT OF MURDER...do NOT answer these people. They have every other thread to advocate homocide...leave this one free for support, prayer and encouragement.
DO NOT ANSWER THESE PEOPLE! You are not going to sway them, and by encouraging them, you disrupt an oasis here.
So, let's try again: If you were in Terri's condition, how would you want them to treat you? Restore the feeding tube and continue the maintenance and the diapers or let you die? Which would you prefer? Surely you can say.
Geesh all that comes to mind when I read this is the image of the devil in the Passion during the agony in the garden scene...........sure you can ssssssssssssay yesssssssss. Ugggg!
Amazing that we live in a culture willing to do more for a pet than a person.
Weeping...
thanks, going back to work now
Soros.....again. How many times have I said that!
I missed your post earlier and am very glad this one caught my eye. Good info at Post #286!
Better yet, if you were in Terri's condition, wouldn't you want to see your parents and brother who want to see you alive???
