Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
I need to lay down some more, I have been up so long that I have a stiff neck and shoulders...will be back in a few hours..could someone add me to their ping list?
pc93 is banned again??? What is this????????
DJ: No one ASKS to be disabled. It becomes a test of courage for some. Others are cowards. Character shows.... I want you to show me where God tells us we have the RIGHT to force a healthy woman into Heaven when He hasn't yet called her. Not one of your opinion has yet shown me that killing an innocent is allowed by God because of OUR human perceptions.
I guess my question wasn't clear. Let's not shout or call names or talk about 'forcing' people. Let's not debate about whether the slurry went in by 'gravity flow' or was pumped in by syringe or whether God has called her or not. Just a simple question.
If you were in Terri's condition, what would you want? Continued maintenance by feeding tube and diapers or to go home to Heaven?
I've told you what I would want for myself. How about you?

Actually, if it would break my parents' hearts and leave the stain of murder on several other souls, no, I would not want to go to Heaven on those terms. Not even a close call.
"For me (not anyone else, just me), were I in Terri's condition (howsoever we might each describe it), I would definitely want to go to Heaven and be with the Lord. Not even a close call. How about the rest of you?"
I want to go when the Lord tells me to go, not when a court decides!
You have received and heard millions of prayers on Terri's behalf. We are confident that You are working in ways far more wonderful than we can imagine or think. You have sustained her through times of drought and famine. She is Your child, and You are the Keeper of her life. We acknowledge that You are on Your Holy Throne, and that Jesus Christ is seated at Your right hand, interceding for Terri. We again commit her to You, Father, asking that Your Will---not the will of blinded men---would be done for her and for this nation. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

the absolute THRILL that michael schiavo gets from watching
the intense and unbearable sorrow and desparation the Schindler's are undergoing?
That is the LAST think Terri Schindler Schiavo would have wanted for her beloved parents.
From what we have all learned about her..........she would NEVER have wanted her parents to undergo the HELL michael has so cruely laid upon their hearts.
No one with a conscience would do this.
He is a sociopath.
I appreciate your reading me post thoughtfully. You are courteous to do so. Please reconsider your objection to my last sentence in light of this, which I did not write in my post: part of the reason living wills are a good idea is that drafting them forces a person to confront the possible consequences of putting one's wishes in writing. Even if Terri made all the remarks Michael Schaivo attributes to her -- and there's reason to be skeptical of Michael Schiavo -- she never made those remarks with any awareness of what they could bring about. Specifically, no one asked Terri if she would want to be cut off from food and water even though her parents would have to watch at least the physical effects of starvation and dehydration. These types of questions are wrestled with when people actually draw up living wills. That is why Terri's comments of years ago should not be controlling.
Good and fair judge???
BWAHAHAHAHA!!
Keep Michaeling and drinking the Kool-Aid

WHY HAVEN'T THEY ISSUED SUBPOENEAS?????
Don't hit me anyone, I know I'm being obnoxious, but one more time... :-D The trolls have stayed away from this thread because we have not encouraged them. We have had something of an oasis to pray and hope together. If you keep encouraging these people, who have been arguing all over the board in other threads, they will stay here and ruin this one as well. They do not CARE about common sense or compassion...they want to fight. They have been fighting since the beginning and anything you say here will not chage their minds. I implore you...STOP talking to them. Please.
ask them, not me
http://poetry.com/Haiku/Haiku.asp
While looking at Terri's Haiku for today:
"Innocent creature
Wanting to remain alive
Starving and in pain"
I noticed on the same page a haiku by Democrats 2008:
"Terri must die 'cause
Republicans hope she'll live
We are Democrats"
Sounds like an answer to Rush's earlier question.
This isn't about me, it's about Terri. And I did give you an answer several times. I'm not a moral coward and have accepted every cross or burden I've been asked to bear. You know nothing about me OR my personal circumstance, do you.
Now you answer my questions and give to me the Scripture that allows you to declare Terri's life worthless when God clearly does not.
What could that mean EXCEPT "I'm young with my whole life ahead of me, I don't want to be old and sick". That would be a universal emotion, not a significant medical directive. How in the world could a "judge" misinterpret such a thing (even if it were actually said) as meaning "starve me to death in ALL circumstances"
"I wouldn't want to be legally blind like Judge Greer" -- does that mean I can die now?
Thank you for finding these facts, Scoop. Your unwavering search for the truth inspires us all!
PLEASE CALL GIBBS LAW FIRM FREEPERS--ask why they haven't called for the testimony of the FDLE to submit to the court.
