This isn't about me, it's about Terri. And I did give you an answer several times. I'm not a moral coward and have accepted every cross or burden I've been asked to bear. You know nothing about me OR my personal circumstance, do you.
Now you answer my questions and give to me the Scripture that allows you to declare Terri's life worthless when God clearly does not.
A REMINDER:
Freepertoo said it so well:
"The trolls have stayed away from this thread because we have not encouraged them. We have had something of an oasis to pray and hope together. If you keep encouraging these people, who have been arguing all over the board in other threads, they will stay here and ruin this one as well. They do not CARE about common sense or compassion...they want to fight. They have been fighting since the beginning and anything you say here will not chage their minds. I implore you...STOP talking to them. Please."
On this thread at least... don't feed the trolls. We need some respite and this thread is it.
Well, I went back and checked your posts and you didn't say what you would want for yourself if you were in Terri's condition. You say you "have accepted every cross or burden I've been asked to bear." I'm sure that is true. I am sure you are a courageious man as you contend.
But the test here, according to Jesus, is: "In everything, treat others as you would want them to treat you, for this fulfills the law and the prophets." (Mt 7:13) It is not 'treat them as you have been treated' or 'treat them as you have been able to endure'. It is "as you would want them to treat you."
So, let's try again: If you were in Terri's condition, how would you want them to treat you? Restore the feeding tube and continue the maintenance and the diapers or let you die? Which would you prefer? Surely you can say.
