If I say that I am the rightful King of England, that does not mean that the line of succession is being "argued" in any meaningful sense, unless and until I present some credible reason to have the existing legal determinations in the matter set aside.

You seriously, realistically, think there is an equivalent between you declaring yourself the King of England and Terri's parents keeping her alive? That line of argument is not only sophistry, it's also totally insane. You pro-killing Terri people will say ANYTHING, won't you - just so long as she dies!

The wishes of Terri Schaivo are in dispute. Michael's status as guardian, particularly since he set himself up in another relationship, is questionable at best. In the presence of such dispute, the bias should be in favour of life, not the one who says she should die. You can hawk your Johnny Cochran impersonation and the following Chewbacca defence equivalent on some far more unsuspecting soul. That stupidity does not fly with me.

There was no dispute Bill Clinton was guilty of perjury and obstruction of justice.

Er, no. If that were so, he would have been removed from office by a vote of 100 to 0.

As the last appeal has been rejected, apparently you've got your pound of flesh, by the way. I hope you are bloody happy and satisfied with yourselves.

How many more cases of this kind will follow because people as asinine and blinkered as yourself refused to stand up for what was right and what was just. God only knows - I hope and pray that this kicks legislators in taking the necessary action to ensure this is the LAST time.

Now you're being stupid. The Senate's vote had nothing to do with guilt or innocence. It had to do with politics. CLinton was disbarred for his malfesance and unable to practice law, which was about as close as we got - the facts, however, were not in dispute.

I am pleased to see the rule of law and the sanctity of marriage upheld.

I am troubled by the political fallout, and can only hope that the Democrats will manage to p!ss away the gift that has been handed to them on a silver platter.

You're happy the husband can "ditch the bitch" given the right circumstances. Oh, joy.

I am troubled by the political fallout, and can only hope that the Democrats will manage to p!ss away the gift that has been handed to them on a silver platter.

Not a single bit of concern for the poor woman who is being starved and dehydrated to death, nor her family. That speaks volumes about your character or lack thereof.

That may be the most impossibly, mind-bogglingly naive thing I've ever heard.

I just read the 38 page Guardian Report and there was nothing mentioned in there about any abuse. That report covered numerous hearings and appeals for guardianship and abuse was never an issue.

It also says that up until a short while ago, Terri's parents agreed that she was in a permanent vegetative state. I'm not sure why they changed their mind.

And, based on Florida laws, there is nothing criminal about having the feeding tube removed. The judges did nothing wrong.

Also mentioned were the care that Michael gave Terri up until he realized that she wasn't coming out of this state.

There was also something about Michael's gesture to give up any monetary benefits from Terri's death.

But I didn't find anything that pointed at a massive conspiracy or attempt to murder this woman.

Wow, you must be a great Christian because you are really concerned about the Unsaved. I guess you'd rather just look down your nose at them and use sarcasm as your defense mechanism.

Maybe you should read through your whole bible instead of just the passages that make you feel better.

I don't reject Christ, I just believe that people are free to make their own decisions based on their own experiences.

Being a Christian is about more than blind devotion to your faith. A lot of terrible things have happened in the name of Christ because people didn't use common sense.

If there was clear evidence that she would have refused continued sustenance in this situation, I would have a different opinion. But there is no such clear evidence, and I regard the unanimous opinion of her parents and siblings on what her wishes would have been, as carrying quite a bit more weight than her husband's unsupported assertion.

Good idea, time for the civil disobedience.

"What are you protesting?"

I'm protesting the decision of the courts not to interfere in a private family matter. I'm doing this based on nothing more than my perception of the situation and my desire to keep this woman from dying.

Of course, I don't want the courts to interfere in things that affect me... only when it's someone else's life.

I'm sure I'm guilty of calling quotations "quotes." And probably will do so again.

I'm blaming it on growing up with Reader's Digest [Quotable Quotes].

(You should seen the ellipses fines I've incurred over the years....)

Are you now omniscient?

How do you know what will be unleashed?

More than likely, legislation, in Terri's name, to make sure that nothing like this ever happens again.

She will accomplish more than most of us ever will.

"And, based on Florida laws, there is nothing criminal about having the feeding tube removed. The judges did nothing wrong."

There was nothing legally wrong with Jim Crow or Dred Scott, either. History... or God... will judge. I'd rather err on the side of life.

The people you support are establishing a precedent. It's now unfortunate also that the polls indicate that people support the idea that she should be starved and dehydrated to death. Politicans being animals that follow the polls, it is unlikely that they will pass any corrective legislation in the near future - I hope I am wrong, but this is a logical assumption.

I am not omniscent, but what I am saying is not unreasonable nor illogical. It's unfortunate that your adherence to the idea that Terri should be murdered in this fashion doesn't allow you to acknowledge this.

"The wishes of Terri Schaivo are in dispute."

Not true, the courts have consistently found that Terri's wishes are being followed.

The Courts have been long finding in favor of Terri's wishes, not Michael's.

You're arguing lacking the facts.

Revoking Michale's guardianship will not change the Court's decision at this point.

"Just like the nurses waited six years before coming forward w/their stories?"

Deejay, I am not sure about when the other 2 nurses came forward, but the first nurse reported her suspicions to her supervisors when it was happening back in 1995 - 1996. They terminated her employment. She said she also went to the police and they just basically asked her if she actually saw Michael inject Terri with insulin? She had not because it was Michaels habit of closing the door and locking it when he visited Terri.

This nurse has said she took a lie detector test but Michael has not.

When Fox News had her on they also asked Michael to come on to rebut her accusations but he would not

This man is 6'6" tall and very intimidating. I suppose after the police wouldn't do anything she went about her life until she finally heard what was happening in this case she then did an affidavit. Judge Greer received it, threw it aside and made a decision the very next day.

I have listened to her on many different programs and she has never varied in her facts at all.
