I have rarely been this royally ticked off. However, nothing prepared me for the statements of Fox News analyst and law professor Susan Estrich calling for a feminist campaign against the Los Angeles Times. Ms. Estrich's grievance is that the newspaper has failed to publish enough articles by women (like her own syndicated column) on its editorial page.
Described in the press as "belligerent" and "semiliterate," Ms. Estrich's tirades became increasing unhinged after it became clear that Mr. Kinsley would not yield to her ultimatums. Indeed, Ms. Estrich went to all caps in offering Mr. Kinsley "ONE MORE CHANCE BEFORE I GO PUBLIC." Before one charity event, she asked menacingly, "you want me to work that dinner about what an [expletive] you are?" After descending to calling Kinsley a "jerk," "fool."
But it was Ms. Estrich's vicious attack on LATimes Opinion Editor Michael Kinsley that was so shocking. Ms. Estrich used Mr. Kinsley's suffering from Parkinson's disease as easy fodder for her attacks on the newspaper. She insisted that his failure to publish women like herself is evidence that "your illness may have affected your brain, your judgment, and your ability to do this job."
Ms. Estrich's personal attack on Mr. Kinsley reflects a common stereotype that a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease means that a person's ability to think and function is instantly compromised. Of course, Ms. Estrich did not bother to research this disease.
Her use of feminism for such a vicious personal attack is a classic symptom of CMD.(Chronic Myopic Distemper!) Indeed, Ms. Estrich clinically observed that Kinsley is no longer rational due to Parkinson's disease.
Of course, the difference between Parkinson's and CMD is that the symptoms of the former (unlike the latter) can be treated.

Why does she have a hard-on for the guy from Slate?
She's probably an out-of-control alcoholic. Her recent behavior sure hasn't seemed normal. And at one time she would offer reasonable, balanced responses and columns at least occasionally.
"Well, you clearly cannot argue with the polls...if the polls are showing Kerry ahead, then I guess it is going to be a long night for Bush...."
Slurp, slurp....whahaa happpennenended? The polls can't be wrong, hic....
That is how I remember Susan Estrich!
hic!
Where is my favorite "Corbomite Maneuver" picture?
She seemed to finally lose it when the Swiftvets first appeared and she hasn't returned to her meager senses ever since.
She really is obnoxious, isn't she? The funny thing is that her liberal friends in the Democratic Party think she's too conservative.
Susie is one of the worst
She grew up in a cage all right. Full of harpies.
On the other hand, she did great work originating the role in 'Hello Dolly'.
Well, that Starbucks was good while it lasted. Am now cleaning it off my monitor......
Well, she's too old for menopause. Maybe she is just a cranky, old, liberal b*tch.
Well it sounds to me like Susan is either still mad that Kerry lost, or she is going through menopause---
I wonder how she would feel if Kinsley stood up at an event and asked her if she has PMS, and offer her a Midol?
Not possible to pick a good guy is this fight, but I do love that someone is beating Kinsley about the head and shoulders for completely trashing the Op/Ed page of the LA Times. It actually was possible to make it worse.
...The face of an unhinged liberal.
I used to find Estrich pleasant in a liberal kind of way (grin), compared to some other libs. But I've thought something was wrong with her, seriously, since Election Night. She was carrying on on Fox News about Cuyahoga County (sp?) and in all honesty I thought perhaps she'd been drinking before she went on the air. Others that evening noticed her unusual behavior as well. With this latest behavior, I really wonder if she's OK or is perhaps having some sort of serious medical or psychological issue. Just a hunch.
Sorry if I'm wrong, Susan, and you're "only" being a jerk!
She's not even human, she's a troll. In recent years she's had some cosmetic surgery but that barely softened the external troll features and seems to have exacerbated her internal troll.
