Onyx's husband fell thru a glass door and severed an artery in his arm this morning. He almost bled to death while waiting for 911 to come, but they made it.
They've been at the hospital since noon, with him in and out of surgery. They are back in surgery now, with 3 surgeons trying to repair a lot of torn and severed veins and archeries. He's lost a lot of blood, they've given him 6 pints so far.
It's very complicated, but those are the basics.
thank you for posting the link to the update, bd.
Prayers continue for Onyx & her husband. She is fortunate to have sons nearby to help stand watch.
Dear Onyx. Sit down and have yourself a good cry. Crying is cleansing and helps to releive the stress so you can be strong.
Prayers said
"the saving grace is that, strangely enough, he has 2 arteries there instead of one as usual. Had he only had one, he wouldn't have made it."
Oh, wow. Miraculous.
My prayers are with you and your husband, onyx, for his full recovery.
Prayers for the man!!! And for all of the Onyx family.
Thanks for letting us know so that we can lift Onyx's husband in prayer for quick recovery, and for peace for her.
Thank you so much...The cleanup can wait..My Dad fell and cut his head in the bathroom..far less serious and it took me forever to clean up..maybe some help will arrive...Prayers for onyx's husband, again.
Prayers for your hubby and you! God, please watch over them and help with a fast and healthy recovery. Amen.
Prayers for you and yours. Hope the new dawn brings good news.
I just went through a move and it was stressful even without any accidents. I know the Onyx family will rally 'round till things get back to normal......and freeper friends will provide all the morale support in the world.

Thanks.
My prayers for the family and a complete recovery. Onyx, I am sure this is a very trying time for you and your husband. My thoughts are with you.
Yikes, that sounded horrible!
My wife and I had a situation that we both had to deal with, and both of our lives had been altered forever. Instead of crying about what had been lost, we bonded together to find solutions.
Sue's love was scuba diving and she thought she could never do that again.
Wrong!
I purchased a junker wheelchair and took her to the local lake. Using the wheelchair, I pushed her down the boat ramp until she could float in the water. I then transfered her scuba equipment from the shore and helped her get into it.
Her crippled legs were no longer important, since when scuba diving, you are eventually weightless. Once under the water, Sue was able to swim almost better than before the accident.
This is a simple (but important) example of how we worked together as a team. We were no longer simply a husband and wife in a marriage, but a integrated team in every aspect of our lives.
P.S. Sue and I just return from two weeks of scuba diving in Cozumel, Mexico.
Prayers for a quick recovery for your husband, and prayers to everyone in the hospital who are caring for him. Praying for you to remain strong for him.
