bttt!! Hannity is our friend. I backed Rush when he gave us a friendly shot across the bow several years ago, and I back Hannity today. As far as I'm concerned, he did us a favor.

And for Sean to say that Freepers eat their own, what does he think he just did to the conservative movement? I have always been careful not to criticize Hannity because I really did admire his work on behalf of the Bush campaign. Rush has never put forth that kind of effort.
Today I was just stunned by his characterization of FR. He sounded exactly like a typical leftist, marginalizing the majority by using the minority as his evidence. I'm not sure who he will attract with his slight, but I'm sure he's lost some audience today.

Kid Rock is creep who takes his kids on tour with him where he is known to snort cocaine. Aside from that he has no original musical ideas and no talent to speak of.

I expect it to hit 2500+.
And Sean's laughing about this all the way to the bank when freepers and AntiFreepers all flood his website - Ad $$$$$$$

What exactly is 'fringe' and shouldn't that be 'FRinge' anyway?

Hannity is doing a bit of cannibalizing himself by attacking the Free Republic. Exposed CBS & Dan Rather is an immense FR Coup! ITS HISTORIC & AMAZING!
Is Hannity discrediting FR because he's pressured by the intimidating MEDIA establishment? Or, does he have a case of full-blown arrogance? He certainly blew it here!
Hannity talks too much about and for himself anyway: self-promotion instead of the promotion of ideas. Interrupts his guests too much. BUT, I love Mark Levin and "Marty."

Sad thing is as long as a traitor stays in the US Senate this type of thing will get worse.

but made it a point to tell me that there are a few Freepers who give the rest of us a bad name. So what? There are more than a few *Americans* who give the rest of us a bad name. Is that a good reason for bashing the whole country?

To: rface
Of course Hannity is now openly trying to compete with FReeRepublic.com ---- and sure, he is welcome to open his own Blog Shop ---- and sure FReepers have an appetite for their own, but I will accept no substitute for FreeRepublic.com ..... even if I have to walk around with chew marks on my ass. Well said.

Wheels within wheels within wheels.
First cause, why? He has his own site now is one possibility.
But, is Hannity now mainstream? Is he part and parcel of the established media?
Yes, his statement damages the weblogs, but the media has been intent this week to take blogs down because they have seen at last the threat it poses to each and every individual who makes an offhand remark or calumny or lie. Rather was a clumsy sacrifice, but Eason Jordan is the key.
I think all of them are determined that the internet should not usurp the dissemination of OPINION promoted by the mainstream.
And fringe? Fringe? Good heavens. Sean has insulted and defamed everyone on this board.

All these Talk Radio people are entertainers first. Hannity does a decent job but do not expect anything from them.

Agreed, but you omitted the TWO GREATEST (it's a tie) of them all. The intellectual heavyweights are Hugh Hewitt and Tony Snow, though admittedly Hugh's been a bit obnoxious lately with his Blog Obsession.
I don't think I have ever seen the farthest left liberal trashed this bad.

Your analysis is in many ways correct, but you assume that every right wing talk host is faking it. I was just listening to Bob Grant, for example, and have done so for maybe 40 years. he is a radio personality yes but he built his whole schtick on his point of view. I have no doubt he expresses his own deeply felt opinions.
You definitely are correct that the hosts have commercials which are contrary to their beliefs, though a conservative can argue he is all for free market profit making. On thing is true, you won't hear a host knocking his own sponsor, no matter what.

I have been forbidden to have him playing when the spouse comes home, until he apologizes. Granted there are fringe anywhere you have have the ability for people to post, but even though what he said is true, on a small level, it would be anywhere.
3 hours is a day is a lot to ask, after that, until an apology comes over the airwaves. Surely he knows what the left will do with something like that remark.
