This morning President Bush participated in a discussion about Social Security reform at the Qwest Center Omaha Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. This afternoon he held another discussion about Social Security in Little Rock, Arkansas at the Robinson Center Auditorium. Finally late this afternoon the President attended a third town hall style meeting at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa Florida. At all three events President Bush was greeted by 10's of thousands of supporters, yet the mainstream media spends more time reporting about less than 2 dozen angry Democrats infected with the desease Liberalsim, than they spend on the Presidents message. We wont make that mistake here :-)
I just read the poem by Mrs. Norwood. I skipped it before. G-d Bless Mrs. Norwood and May Byron rest in peace. And may we survivors be worthy of these men and women who have sacrificed for our freedom.
Here's a link to the Free Republic post, hoosierpearl. It's the Charleston Daily Mail. I don't actually know how influential that paper is in West Va, but they definitely trashed him pretty good. It's a good sign, to my way of thinking.
Good morning, Snugs, from an ex-lurker but long time reader of the Dose. I enjoy your insights from the other side of the "pond." Usually no one is still online when I get up in the morning, but seems you are always on -- LOL. Do you ever sleep?
Good morning my friend hope you are well this morning, just getting myself in gear to get going and job the just jobs for the day.
Speak to you later
Good Morning Snugs!
She talks in entire sentences and spent the entire weekend singing Happy Birthday to herself. She's living large and loving life, and is definitely the light of her parents' and grandparents' lives. And spoiled rotten, as I'm sure you can all well imagine. :-)
my church used that book last year. All(who wanted) purchased a book .. reduced.. and he used it a chapter a week as the basis of sermons. My brother's church in OK did the same I recall a workbook also
Not wasted a bit!! She's ADORABLE!!!
There is prolly an official definition of "fat Tuesday" but the bottom line that I have observed is that it is a mardi gra party of sorts with LOTS OF EATING & DRINKING to make up for the potential "giving up" that some do during lent. You didn't sleep much... I got to bed right after I posted last night & slept til 5 AM. I tend to be very ambitious & productive in early hours (If I can stay away from daggone computer.
Homemom..
thanks for your fun report of pres visit. Would be nice to see him in NON election setting. I saw him three times here before the election (and got a hug & smooch at the first)
Re: the HTML linking.
a href="">YOUR TITLE
BEFORE THE "a" at beginning put a <
at the end with NO spaces put < / a> ... with NO spaces on either side of the "/"
If I put it in the formula disappears ~~ lol !
between the " you put your URL. No extra spaces etc. It has to be exactly like this. You can link a picture, site etc I learned the little HTML I know from FR
I used the HTML sandbox on one of the FR sites..
I know the feeling. My hands were hurting from applauding, my arms ached from pumping air, and after the Marine Mom and Iraqi woman voter hugged, the front of my blouse was wet with tears. WHAT a SOTU!!!!
And he has gotten so much practice from campaigning, that when he goes out to talk to people about his policies, he's such a natural, I'm sure that once again, he's convincing hearts and minds to see the importance of strengthening Social Security and changing how we are allowed to invest for our own futures.
Rush's theory about why Democrats don't want his Social Security plan, investment and inheritance, is that it makes Republicans out of Democrats, and the Democrats will lose their grip on people (by keeping them in debt and beholden to the paltry handouts that Demorats give) by the millions. Sounds like a plan to me!
Golly, I just love this President.
What a beautiful graphic! Too bad I don't have a right-click mouse. :o/
I'm kinda fond of the guy myself.
Perhaps Gonzales will walk softly but carry a big stick. I'm hopeful of the job he will do.
Welcome to the Dose - and if you've posted before and I've missed it, forgive me. Sometimes the thread goes on forever and I just can't get to the end of it.
I happen to think this is the bestest place on FR!
And in case you'd like to be pinged to it, so you'll know right away when it comes up, and can be in the running for a rebuilt toaster from Grammie (Brad's Gramma), just let GretchenM know.
I now return you to the Dose.
Blessings to you for your heart-felt words and wise encouragement. :o)
snicker - snort - wistful sigh for the possibilities. haha.
Aw geez, Mike, you forgot the multiple tissue alert!
The front of my shirt is soaked and I'm having trouble gulping for air. Wow! That's a heckuva poem.
Makes me proud to be an American, to know we raise them to be Marines, and then can turn them over to God, knowing that they've done their best, and given all, to keep you and me free.
I'll never be able to thank them enough.
Every Soldier, Airman, Coastie, Marine and Sailor I pass, I say "thank you for serving" and smile at them, to let them know I'm not just saying it, and that I mean it with every fiber of my being.
I haven't been cleared to return to Walter Reed, so I've had to take things and drop them off at the front desk, with the name and ward they are go to, but I sure hope to be able to return to shaking their hands again real soon, and thanking them in person for their service.
