A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos): 2.4.05
Yahoo, White House | 02/04/05

Posted on 02/04/2005 3:09:55 PM PST by MJY1288

This morning President Bush participated in a discussion about Social Security reform at the Qwest Center Omaha Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. This afternoon he held another discussion about Social Security in Little Rock, Arkansas at the Robinson Center Auditorium. Finally late this afternoon the President attended a third town hall style meeting at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa Florida. At all three events President Bush was greeted by 10's of thousands of supporters, yet the mainstream media spends more time reporting about less than 2 dozen angry Democrats infected with the desease Liberalsim, than they spend on the Presidents message. We wont make that mistake here :-)

That's true...and I accept that. I am thinking how hard it is for the families left behind though. Especially if there are children. My cousin was a marine and I know how much the families are conditioned for the inevitable but speaking from the civilian side of it I would find it difficult to tell anyone about the death of a loved one.

Oh, Mike. I just read that poem.

I have so much in common with her.............but not the end of the story.....

Pray for these dear parents, and sisters and brothers and wives and husbands of our fallen soldiers.

I cannot imagine the grief that they feel.

And for all of those reading JustaCowgirl's excellent post at 117 who want that same kind of life, I highly recommend reading this book:

Sounds fun! I know the motorcade is impressive, because we saw it when we were in DC. last April. I would love to hear him speak though and just be able to shake his hand. My husband is laughing at me right now!! He thinks I'm Bush crazy, although he wouldn't admit it he would be thrilled too. Just think you are officially now part of history. :) In a sense. My husband got to hear him in 02. He did come to Alabama to campaign for Sessions and Mike Rogers. He spoke at Auburn Univ. Kyle said the helicopter landing was spectacular and then they let the team mascot go. AU's mascot is a bald eagle. The crowd cheered and he said the noise was deafening. The ticket was given to me, but it was easier for Kyle to go at that time..so I sent him off. I saved the ticket and the newspaper clipping and other memorabilia and had it all framed. Maybe you could do the same or make a really neat scrapbook and have your children write their reactions to the day...it will fun for them to look back on this event when they are adults. I'm so glad you all go a chance to go. :)

I couldn't believe my ears when I heard *hic*Kennedy spouting the same stuff Hadenuf (of) Joe was scribbling on the live thread. Just who was mimicing whom?

Hi snugs, sorry I got here after you had to toddle off. I've been on the Washington Governor's race revote - court case thread.

I have a question about Tony's press time with Condi. I only saw the video with no audio and Tony *seemed* to me as if he felt a bit awkward with Condi. He kept moving his arms forward almost in a jerking motion like he was going to raise them and gesture, but then didn't. Condi stood quietly by his side and seemed quite comfortable. I don't know his body language like a Brit would, but he seemed not to be as comfortable with her as he does with W. What do you think?

Same mind...........or lack, thereof.

In any case, they are both disgusting, and totally WRONG about the Iraqi people.

They are courageous, and strong, and are doing as much to be free as any in recent memory, and they have my deep admiration!

You mentioned that a West Virginia newspaper had trashed Byrd. Which paper would that be? I'd like to look it up if the newspaper has a website.

Look at the ornery look on his face!

That is my favorite look of his, teasing, provocative, mischievious, a little flirty (not in a bad way)!...and, yes, ornery!

Thank you so much for the great dose. What terrific pictures today! I smiled when looking at them! I love watching GWB interact with people. Genuine is a great word to describe him, as someone else said.

Thanks again!

Your Welcome, I consider an honor to post this thread once a week. I have the utmost respect for this President and IMHO, as he boards Marine One and turns to salute all of us for the last time on January 20, 2009, he will achieved things very few Presidents before him ever have in the name of "Liberty"
