You don't have to take it from us about Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton 's desire to run for president. Her brothers, Hugh and Tony Rodham, say it's true. Friends tell us that the two are cheering Sis on and say she's making all the moves to get ready for the race--presuming she is re-elected by New Yorkers in 2006.
Of course, she's in. If she wasn't interested in the job, she and Bill would have been divorced years ago. Support for Hil's presidential run is the last installment payment due.
I can't wait for the '08 Dem primaries...Kerry vs. Gore vs. Hillary!
You are 100% correct.
LOL!
You can bet that Hillary has files on Kerry, Gore and anyone else she considers a threat to her coronation!
And yes, that picture is the one of Hill kissing Suha Arafat ( "wife" of The Littlest Terrorist ) after Suha had accused the Israelis of poisoning Palestinian children...
Take the link for some dirt on the Kerry goose chase. "Some staff members eventually suggested that he hunt for spring turkey in a bid to win the gun crowd. But...they ended up choosing Canada geese as his prey. 'He had to kill something,' said one of Kerry's campaign outfitters, 'or the whole idea would have been a failure.'"
CONDOLEEZZA 2008!!!
Indeed. Sadly.
de Sade-ly.
Was feeling just now . . . prayer could really sabotage her, it seems to me.
I feel that events between now and then will be extremely dramatic. And, we can pray that she will be utterly and totally scuttled by them.
Also, that we can pray that she will not remotely succeed in 2006 but will be so humiliated then or otherwise taken totally out of the picture.
I have some hope about this more than before. Trouble is, what takes her out of the picture--not another person--but events--may be, in a variety of ways, worse than her. In any case, the events are virtually destined. I don't think much will hold them back--whatever they are.
I just had a thought, if Hillary won, that would mean ol'Bill would be back in the white house. And if that isn't bad enough, he would be....The first "gentleman?" He would do what the first ladies do?
My dear mother has a saying, "if wishes were horses, beggars would ride", and that sums up Senator Hildabeast's chances of winning the presidency.
First of all, she has to get past a re-election campaign in 2006, and that means that she will (at some point) have to pledge that she will serve out a FULL term of office IF she is re-elected (because any challenger, if they've got the sense God gave a goose, will hammer her with that). Assuming she is re-elected in 2006 (which is by no means a given), then she has to get a presidential campaign up and running PRONTO, because her rivals for the nomination are already watching her like a hawk and she doesn't have the luxury of just sitting on her fat azz and waiting for the convention to come calling for her to 'save' the party.
Second, she will have to successfully navigate a national primary campaign, and her credentials are shaky: 1 term Senator (presumably in her 2nd term by 2008), former 'First Female' (because she ain't no lady), and she brings with her all the baggage and corruption of the eight years of Clinton/Gore/Reno, and her primary opponents will go nuclear on her with that vast reserve of material. And she won't have the advantage of limiting media access only to those who surrender their spine and agree to her 'ground rules' on questioning as she demands right now. There is also the bigger question of how she can manage the pressures of a national campaign that will keep her in the spotlight 24/7. My bet is that when SHE is the center of attention, she won't be able to handle it.
Third, her entire political philosophy will come under fire: her mysterious thesis paper from Wellesley that was reportedly so pro-Marxist that she had it sealed from public view, her ham-handed attempt to nationalize health care that was roundly rejected by the American people and the Congress, her involvement in the endless scandals of Billigula (not to mention the latest indictment of her former fund raising guy just this past week).
Finally, if Howard Dean should somehow become the next DNC chairman, the Clintons won't have ANY friend in that position (as they did with their appointed hand puppet Terry 'The Punk' McAwful), and Dean will make it difficult if not impossible for Senator Fat Ankles to get a leg up (ewww) on the competition. Even if Dean does NOT become DNC chairman, there are still the massive numbers of far left Deaniacs that will not automatically rubber stamp Her Thighness unless she goes so far left that she falls into the same trap that Kerry did this past year.
Bottom line?
Hillary ain't got a prayer. Take that to the bank.
Bill wants to be back in the White House very, very badly, he is a proven winner, and he, not Hillary, has the machine to do it with.
He will get a very prominent position, and a bully pulpit to preach from to the entire world.
The MSM will be in his favorite position, on their knees, hailing the soon be be triumphant return of the prodigal son, and every sore loser democrat will be lining up for the early vote.
This time there will be endless pictures of them with foreign dignitaries, and Bill will not allow the kooks from the fringe to be near Hillary.
Just watch how little media coverage the bomb throwers get this time around.
Make no mistake, the Clinton's will be very, very difficult to beat, and we had best prepare to really do something to soften up some states such as Pennsylvania, or we will once again be hearing "president Clinton" for 8 years.
I hope the New York GOP if it runs another sacrifice, like Mills was against Schumer, at least they will pick one that won`t treat her with kid gloves.
I don`t mean just throw mud at her but at least raise the "uncomfortable" issues like cattle futures,Rose law firm documents, pardons, campaign finance fraud, the list goes on and on.
Lazio got bullied into being a Katie Couric candidate to keep the press off him.
Whoever we run against her, has to not worry about losing and trying to be liked by the media outlets, but to show her as the criminal she is.
Who knows they might just win that way. They will certainly lose being 'nice" to her.
God loves a cheerful giver and hates a thief.
Remember, this is the same electorate that chose her husband....twice. They are fickle, and easily swayed by something as mindless as name recognition.
