I notice that the report refers to the contact with Joe Lockhart of the Kerry Campaign as a "conflict of interest". Gee, YA THINK?

Reading the DNC daily fax (or printing it as the NY Times does) on the air as fact is also a conflict, but they will continue to do that I'm sure. Bottom Line, they simply cannot admit that they are staffed with anti-Republican liberals who constantly and continually insert their personal bias into every news story.

Dan Rather is worse than the devil, he's a moron who doesn't do his own reporting and hasn't a clue as to what goes on. At least that's the impression you get if you read his responses to the investigators in the report. In other words, he could be replaced by a ventriloquist's dummy.

Actually, I expect them to start raiding personnel from Fox News in order to fulfill their promise the the White House of becoming "more fair and balanced". It would also serve the purpose of weakening a strong competitor.

I'm not sure what it is...You can almost always tell if someone's liberal just by looking at them.

It's nothing you can put your finger on. I'm not talking about the knee-jerk "That guy's fashionable and extremely clean cut, and ergo must be gay and thus a liberal." knee-jerk discrimination.

There's something...Off about them. Perhaps it's that certain milquetoastishness and subtly smirking self-satisfaction that screams "I hugged a tree today!" Perhaps it goes even deeper to the point of instinct.

A predator instinctively seeks out his prey based upon subconscious calculus that evaluates a target's risk versus reward. Thus, the sick, the old, and the young are culled from the herd, making it a more vibrant and successful group.

Perhaps it's simply the recognition when one sees a liberal that lacking the law and civilization that protects them...They would quickly become prey, and are therefore a liability to the herd or a quick and easy lunch, depending on your point of view. :)

But I digress. Mapes is a singularly unattractive woman.

Rather is already stepping down. While I would love to see him hung out to dry for his actions I am sure that CBS gave him the option of leaving gracefully. The important thing is that he winds up gone. Whether he opens the door or it is opened for him is irrelevant.
