International ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism), a front group for the communist Workers World Party, has released a video that agitates for 'civil war' at President Bush's inaugural parade on January 20 in Washington, D.C.
According to reports, the group has received demonstration permits from the U.S. Park Service for at least two positions along the parade route on Pennsylvania Avenue: the Navy Memorial and Freedom Plaza.
The release of the video follows on the announcement that Ramsey Clark, a founder of ANSWER and its parent group, the International Action Center (IAC), will be one of Saddam Hussein's defense lawyers in his trial for crimes against the Iraqi people.
In 2003, ANSWER released a statement giving "unconditional support" for the terrorists killing Americans and Iraqis in the aftermath of the American-led liberation of Iraq from Hussein's tyrannical terrorist government.
In 2002, ANSWER spokesman Tony Murphy endorsed the homicide bombings of Israeli civilians by Palestinian terrorists.
Since it's founding on Sept. 14, 2001, while smoke was still pouring from the World Trade Center site in New York City where three days earlier terrorists had slaughtered almost 3,000 Americans and people from around the world in the worst terrorist attack in U.S. history, ANSWER has worked to undermine America's efforts to defend itself from further terror attacks by allying itself with Saddam Hussein's government and Palestinian extremists.
For the most part, their protests have been peaceful, but the air of violence always hangs in the background--a legacy of the 1999 Seattle riots that gave a rebirth to the anti-American left.
Indeed, IAC leader Brian Becker acknowledged in a January 14, 2001 Washington Post interview that he had realized his movement could attract more people if they thought they would not get tear-gassed like they did in Seattle.
That interview was done in anticipation of the IAC's protest of Bush's first inauguration. Despite promises that the protests would be peaceful, the Navy Memorial, where the IAC had a demonstration permit, was desecrated by protesters who took down flags from the masts there and assaulted people who tried to intervene.
Despite that lack of care to maintain public property used under their permit, the same group (under a different name)has been given a permit to protest again at the Navy Memorial on Inauguration Day.
This time, however, their mask of peace and anti-racism has been removed by ANSWER's leader, Brian Becker, in the almost five minute long video promoting ANSWER's Inaugural Parade protests.
The video uses a somnambulant song over video clips of protesters and police actions at the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York City. Protesters are seen carrying flag draped coffins, participating in illegal 'critical mass' bike riding and skateboarding on city streets. A plethora of images are shown of protesters being arrested by the police in an effort to demonize the police in the eyes of ANSWER's target audience for the Inaugural Parade.
Brian Becker, through carefully chosen speeches disguised as interviews, exhorts people to rise up against the Bush administration and their supporters.
In the first segment, Becker uses anti-Semitic codes words "neoconservatives" and "banking elites" while a sign that says "RNC Go Home" b/w "AIPAC Puppets" is shown on the screen. AIPAC stands for American Israel Public Affairs Committee: "The neoconservative agenda, which is really not just an ideological grouping inside the political establishment, speaks for a larger section: The corporate and banking elites in America who believe in the absence of the Soviet camp and the absence of the Soviet Union and the fall of the socialist bloc governments in the early 1990s, that a new empire, a new global empire can be established."
The next segment featuring Becker has him calling for a repeat of the violent upheavals of the late 1960s when assassinations, riots and violent protests nearly tore the country apart: "1968 and 1969 and 1970 where the United States was convulsed with such street protests of such magnitude that it seemed that the society was evolving, or devolving, toward civil war or great social strife, that will come again. And that will come again because resistance to this oppressive, illegal war of aggression is inevitable."
At the end of the video, Becker closes his call for revolution against the governmentat the Bush Inaugural (his statement is followed by a graphic promoting the Inaugural protest in Washington): "Most importantly, the most important ingredient in the coming epic battle for the defense of civil rights and civil liberties is not what the Bush administration does. We know what they will do. The question is what will we do? What will the people do? Will the people run, or will they stand and fight? And if they stand and fight, we believe the Bush administration and those who want to negate any semblance of democracy in this country will be defeated."
Pretty rich from a man who supports some of the worst violators of civil rights and civil liberties in our times: Saddam Hussein, Fidel Castro and Kim Jong-Il.
One wonders why, in a time of war, the U.S. government is permitting a viper to nestle next to its breast.

Stupid is as stupid does.

These people are what is known DownUnder as "RATBAGS".
Communist Answer=CANSWER
Answer is not the Answer
That really stuck out to me also.
You guys had a permit for the Navy Memorial (IIRC) now the commies do AGAIN?
Who funds International ANSWER? I've been looking off and on for years, and haven't found out. Do you know?
BTW - Excellent bit.
The '60's anti-Vietnam protesters' "street theater" made a good Republican out of me. I'm so sick of these fools and their marxist puppeteers.
I'll bet you Brian Becker has more than a few eyes watching his actions and if he so much as sneezes illegally, they ought to haul his butt off to jail and transport him to another island just west of the Tsunami for safe keeping@!
"I read a post there earlier from someone who said he/she was very depressed and that they had a visit from the FBI because of some of her comments on DU."
Yeah, as they should be. They are filth over there. Makes me squirm to know these people exist in the same country as my wife and daughters. But its our job as citizens to know our enemies, even though its a stomach turner to read there bilge. They live in a different world, and its a damn scarey one at that. They know they're watched.... and hopefully it keeps them partially in check.
I'm afraid we Vietnam Vets are getting a bit long in the tooth ... and broad in the waist ... for active service in a Civil War. :-(
ANSWER was behind that one too.
Five Thousand of them and about a dozen or less of us. The cops wouldn't protect us, made us go inside the city hall because of these lawbreakers
From the Merc News, San Jose:
As the first wave of marchers approached Civic Center for the rally, they pumped their fists and shouted down a group of about 12 counterprotesters who had been standing in front of City Hall, waving the American flag and voicing their support for the United States. To avoid any physical conflict, police wearing riot gear quickly ushered the small group of counterprotesters inside City Hall and stood in a single line blocking the entrance as the pro-Palestinian protesters chanted, ``Free, free Palestine,'' in cries that grew louder by the moment.
Now that was interesting, because in June of this year, they were back in SF. ANSWER again supporting Palestinian Terrorists who scream out In This Video Clip
Code Pink is everywhere now pushing the destruction of the USA:
Hopefully there will be a contingent of the type below at the Inauguration and Parade Jan 20 and will use their plastic ties all up.
They did arrest one guy after the event. He taunted them for about half hour, and he and a friend were "arrested.:
Unfortunately, they enjoyed it, and were let loose a little later.
Washing DC is going to be very tense this Jan 20.
Deja vu flash back:-)
"What are the ANSWER Commies going to shoot with?"
I recall that back in the 60's someone asked their predesessors the same question. "If you ban guns, what will you use for your revolution?" "Oh, WE will have guns," came the answer.
Remember, to their mindset, the rules apply to other people.
The Institute for Global Communications is another leftist communications facilitator that received Tides grant money. IGC, which during the 1990s was the leading provider of web technology to the radical Left, links to recommended sites such as the War Resisters League (a group whose purpose is enabling peaceniks to refuse to pay taxes) and the leftist American Friends Service Committee. Most disturbing is the link to Ramsey Clarks International Action Center, which has supported Slobodan Milosevic and North Korean strongman Kim Jong-Il. The IAC is the force behind International ANSWER, which sponsored the major antiwar (and anti-Bush) rallies before the invasion of Iraq. When ANSWER was outed as a Communist organization, United for Peace and Justice, headed by longtime Communist Party member Leslie Cagan was created as a "moderate" alternative. UFPJ is also a Tides grant recipient. The Tides-funded A Better Way Project, which opposed war in Iraq, also coordinated efforts of United for Peace and Justice and the Win Without War Coalition.
At every rally they also pass the bucket for donations. Pretty girls and thugs, so they get lots of money that way. Tax free, of course...
A little detail Here also.
Then there is goggle.
Thanks for the ping!
