Visiting with U.S. troops in Baghdad on Thursday, failed presidential candidate John Kerry trashed Commander-in-chief George Bush for making "horrendous judgments" and "unbelievable blunders" that have undermined the war effort.
In a series of demoralizing comments first reported by the San Francisco Chronicle, the defeated Democrat griped, "What is sad about what's happening here now is that so much of it is a process of catching up from the enormous miscalculations and wrong judgments made in the beginning."
Kerry said that because of the Bush administration's mistakes, "the job has been made enormously harder."
Among the errors cited by the disgruntled Democrat: the decision by former U.S. occupation leader Paul Bremer's to disband the Iraqi army and purge the government of former members of Hussein's Baath Party.
Both moves were have fueled the Sunni insurgency, he claimed, lamenting, "Mistakes have been made."
Then, perhaps sensing he'd gone too far, the 2008 White House hopeful cut short the Bush-bashing, saying, "Now, it's a different time and different set of judgments that have to be made. I'm here to make judgments about what moves are available to us."
Not surprised. I heard an interview on the radio today. Country music singer Darryl Worley, who has been over to visit the troops more than once, was talking about the great things done in Afghanistan and Iraq and how the soldiers want people to know about them. Some things mentioned were soldiers in Afghanistan taking 1,000 toys out to kids in a particular village on Christimas day, the elections, and the hopes of the people in these countries.
Kerry is an total a$$.
Most of the high level folks in the Iraqi army were Sunnis. What would the majority Shiites have done if we had imposed a Sunni minority on them?
In the media's eyes he's becoming a stunt man. Today's stunt got coverage.
Kennedy, Clinton and Kerry: all stunts and bluster for posturing.
The dude's a traitor to the end.
Thank God he didn't get elected.
It's time for the Freeprs to reorganize to stop Kerry and move forward with more information---military paper work??-on this jerk. He's not funny anymore...he really is a demoralizing, dangerous fool.
Where are the Swifties when you need 'em? Actually, we all want to thank them for a job well done. The inauguration of George W Bush on January 20 for a second four years as POTUS is testimony to the fine job the Swifties did!
Now perhaps it is time to finish the job on this evil piece of cow dung. It is time to square with him regarding things like his original discharge. It is time to square with him and hold him responsible for being a traitor to the United States. It is time to hold him responsible - period.
Gosh, just think....if Johnny Boy had been alive in 1940, he could have traveled to Germany, visited with Adolf and apologized for the US being so mean to him, and then gone around to our men and women in uniform, demoralizing them. All in a day's work for the liberal left.
What an A$$ Kerry is. That nearly half of the US voted for him hurts my brain to try and imagine what they were thinking of.
I am so damn tired of this as*hole. I cannot express my disgust with his selfish self indulgences. He is sowing disaffection among US troops in a combat zone, aiding and abetting the enemy, and being a general dickhead.
God, what a schmuck! He should be thrown out of the Senate for violating his oath of office.
To Sen Kerry: SHUT UP!
Kerry's not making judgements about anything.
The freak lost. No judgements. Never.
You really would hope the guy would just chalk it up to history, and fade away with grace. Instead he goes to Iraq and makes ghastly comments about the war effort, and these men and women's Commander in Chief.
The sad thing is, this is a U.S. Senator. Whether I like the guy or not, his office is due some modicum of respect. The men and women are captive audiences. He walks in and starts spewing this stuff from a position of authority. What are the troops to think?
If an Al Qaeda member came in and trashed Bush's war efforts, he would be completely dismissed. It's nearly impossible to totally dismiss a sitting Senator's remarks. You may destest them, but as a troop on the ground you still wind up asking yourself, "How many other U.S. citizen back home feel this way?" It's a cluster ---- to moral.
Kerry is a despicable human being. He along with Clark Clifford and Jane Fonda, are three of most disgusting human beings I've known about. They preyed on the vulnerable for their own selfish gain.
I detest them with every fiber of my being.
Your graphic is mild by what I'd say about the guy. It is a nice work and I like it. I'm just really p.o.ed right now.
The U.S. Senate should sensure Kerry, and remove him from any committees.
I would remind Kerry that the same as he is due some level of respect, the President of the United States is also. Do your best on U.S. soil to develop your own team and displace the guy if you must. Don't go to foreign soil, and of all places the theater of combat, and spew this vomitous bile which will undoubtedly be picked up by Al Jeers-at-ya and broadcast as encouragement to the terrorists.
Kerry, honestly, you consistantly prove me wrong, when I think that you couldn't top the last dumbest thing you have done. You continue to be one of the worst examples of what is best about the nation I love.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Thanks for the ping. What a jerk.
I haven't read all the posts on this thread, so I apologize if this has already been brought up, but why isn't John Kerry up at the Capitol building with all the other senators????
Congress is in session, Mr. Kerry!
Bump!
