THANK YOU ALL!!!!
Dear Blue,
I had two daughters join the military in '99. One AF, one Marines. The Marine's have a 13 week boot camp ending in the Crucible. They live, eat, sleep, and hump with their M-16's. My Marine daughter is now a full time mom. My Air Force daughter spent 6 weeks at basic and got to shoot one, that is ONE, round from an M-16. AF basic is cake. My AF daughter is now a linguist. She spent a year in Monterey, CA and several weeks in San Angelo,TX. She loves her job. I hope you get what you want and have a good time with it.
Yep
On the other hand, I didn't know my Momma was a bad cook, until I tuckered into all that fine government chow. Gained 10 pounds, I did.
God bless you, Blue Scourge!
May God keep you and those you love in His tender care, give you wisdom, strength and endurance as you serve your country. Thank you. Your loved ones must be very proud of you.
God bless you and keep you safe! I will pray for you!
Stay alert!
And no, no, no! ....I thank YOU!!!

No, Thank you! You knowing full well the consequnces that you are facing, have made the decision to serve your country in a time of need.
Godspeed and my prayers are with you and your fiance as you face the new challenges.
Blue, may God bless and keep you safe from harm. Thank you, and all our military folks, for your service to our Country.
We live free because of people like you, Blue!
Take good care of yourself,
Jim
PS: Waaay back in 1961, I joined the USAF, too. Got out in 1965. Back then, boot camp was at Lackland AFB in Texas...don't have any idea if its still conducted there, or not.
Godspeed... and please post when you can and let us all know how you are doing.
It's been a long time since my basic at Lackland. The bus pulled sometime at night, and a two-striper got on the bus and welcomed us to the United States Air Force on behalf of President Eisenhower and Secretary of Defense Wilson. They handed out dogtags and then the fun began. I ended up going to tech school at Goodfellow and on to Clark AB and a small base in southern Italy. Got a good career out of it, and memories, both good and bad, too numerous to count. And it all started off with that bus ride from the San Antonio train station to Lackland. Godspeed, bud!
Good Luck!!
Remember, you are part of a team now.
TEAM= Together Everyone Achieves More
(they made us recite this over and over at Sea Cadet bootcamp)
You and your shipmates will pull each other through this, together. (Except, they won't be shipmates because it ain't the Navy. Planemates? Airmates? Oh well, you get the general idea.)
Good luck and report back here when you get a chance!
I'm sure that you'll be able to attain your desired rank and assignment, once you put your mind to it.
Be sure to report back to us friend, once you have the opportunity.
Good luck!
-good times, G.J.P. (Jr.)
They are the mission. Otherwise you are just flying in circles wasting gas. The problem is that you guys up front aren't cleared for what is going on in the back so you think the worst.
Thank you for serving America. God bless.
God bless you and God Speed, Blue Scourge.Get back here soon.
May Lord Jesus keep you safe until you return home again.
Stay well FRiend!
