Cheney rushed to hospital
see post 152....
Oh, dear G-d, no.
You are a very tough "soldier"!!!
My prayers go out to Vice-President Cheney and his wife.
I hate to bring up politics but thank God this happen AFTER the election.
ok thanks.
Vice President Cheney is not a complainer. He is very low key and is not the type of guy to run to the hospital without due provocation. He is described as having shortness of breath. A viral upper respiratory infection will not generally cause shortness of breath. It will cause nasal congestion and what many might refer to as difficulty breathing, but this is not what we typically refer to as SOB. I worry about congestive heart failure, pulmonary embolism, or myocardial infarction. He has been under enormous stress the past few months, and though his is extremely calm in demeanor. Pneumonia is another possibility. With his history, itis imperative to presume the worst until these are ruled out.
thanks for the pic.
Did you know he was in Vietnam?
Thanks. Fast moving thread here.Give 'em heck, Cheney!
Here is the FULL version of that.
DU is Unbelievable!! But God knows their minds...and he gave us President Bush and crew.
No giving up here. I just love Dick and Lynn Cheney. My prayers are for a long life and only the best health news going forward. He will get the very best care and I know that means good things for him and for all of us.
It is truly amazing that these bitter, unhappy, hate-filled people can't figure out why they keep losing elections. Contrast their hateful attitude toward Mr. Cheney with the prayers and good wishes that we sent to Bill Clinton and Elizabeth Edwards and you can easily understand why the voters find them unattractive.
"What decision did she make?"
She felt a lump in her breast; saw a doctor who stated she needed further examination. Mrs. Edwards decided to wait until after the election for further medical treatment.
Hey, did anyone een come across that photo which showed Cheney's "porn-class" wad? We had a huge thread on that the other day, and then NOTHING.
Cheney taken to the hospital01:00 PM CST on Saturday, November 13, 2004
WASHINGTON Vice President Dick Cheney, who has a history of heart trouble, was being taken to a hospital on Saturday for tests after experiencing some shortness of breath, a White House spokesman said.
"On the recommendation of his doctors, the vice president is going to George Washington University Hospital for some tests," spokesman Ken Lisaius said. "He experienced some shortness of breath Saturday morning and has had a bad cold, which could be the cause for the shortness of breath."
President Bush was notified, Lisaius said.
Cheney's cardiologist, Dr. Jonathan Reiner, was to oversee the tests.
The 63-year-old Cheney has had four heart attacks, although none as vice president. He kept up a heavy travel schedule during Bush's re-election campaign, often traveling with his wife, Lynne Cheney.
Lisaius said Cheney is taking every precaution "as anyone with history should do" and is having himself checked out. It was unclear whether Cheney would be admitted to the hospital, or would be there only for tests.
In June 2001, he had a pacemaker implanted in his chest. At his annual heart checkup on May 11, doctors determined that the pacemaker, called an implantable cardioverter defibrillator, was working fine and never had had to assist his heart.
The device is designed to activate automatically if needed to regulate the patient's heartbeat.
Great comment, and the voice of sanity. God IS working in this situation, and clearly, through these two men. Never forget.
That being said, I am in prayer now.
PLEASE! Which is it -- congestive heart failure or NO heart problems at initial test? I have read both now. No TV available here.
