I can't vote until about 4:30 this afternoon. This is driving me nuts hearing about all these people that already got to vote. I work about an hour away from my hometown and I leave town before the polls open.
W is going to have to wait a couple of hours for my vote in the non battleground state of Nebraska.
The only real issues out here are our three House seats which should all go Republican, and the gambling issue.

Daddy, the girls and I just walked up to our polling place at a local elementary school. We expected crowds but there was none. No one handing out flyers, nothing. Praying for rain in the Detroit area worked!!!!

I live in a republican area of a slightly republican county. The Republican poll watcher was absolutely STUNNED by the turnout. He said he's never seen anything like it and seemed very pleased. Over 758 people have voted in a small precinct. The dem poll watcher wasn't quite as enthused. Broke my heart.
I'm heading over to the RNC office in a few minutes to help drive people to the polls. I HIGHLY recommend everyone else who can do the same thing. Taking just one extra voter to the polls who wouldn't otherwise make it, increases the power of your own vote by 100%!!! I will update FR when able if I hear any news.

In South Florida, turnout is heavy. Long waits - 4 hours long - throughout early voting in predominantly Democratic areas. However, there were a significant number of Bush voters out and about.
Bush won't take S. Florida, but he's scoring down here.

The hub and I were there at 6:55 a.m. about 20th in line already!! Most in line seems very jovial, no politics, talking about how to program their TIVO.. LOLOL. I had my TWIN TOWERS pin and my RedWhite&Blue Unity Ribbon pin on. My message that I haven't forgotten 9/11 and I stand with my country. At last the moment we've waited for, to vote Bush/Cheney another 4 years!! It felt GREAT! The young girl asked me if I wanted my sticker... HECK YEAH!

2hr wait.... mostly due to the fact that there were about 80 people in line...with two old-style pull the lever machines.

I'm tuning into Rush at noon. He will be screaming about getting out to vote but I hope he doesn't sound as serious as he did 4 years ago.
Makes it hard to focus on work though....not that I'm getting much done outside of FR anyway though.
LOL..from 2000? No, it's past the time for absentee ballots, so they're bringing all these bogus ballots - or maybe even disenfranchizing real voters - in order to set the stage for the Pennsylvania version of the "count every vote" lawsuits. The suits will no doubt be accompanied by rioting by union hacks.
We didn't say anything about it, we'll have her take care of it. I'm sure they wouldn't just take her off because we said so, if that was the case, people could start taking others off the rolls left and right. We know she won't be coming out here to cheat, so it's all good. :o)
My 10 year old son and I just returned home from voting and running errands. We live in a suburb of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. There were about 20 - 25 people in line and we waited for about 15 minutes.
Voted for President Bush, and other Republican candidates, also voted "No" to a new tax!

I just voted at my normally leftwing precinct in NoVA. Like most places the line was out into the parking lot. In ten years I've never had to wait more than ten minutes. While waiting in line one of the poll workers was chatting with a voter and said there vote tally so far is twice what it normally is for the entire election. That struck me as odd since "normal" in my precinct in 2000 was 70%. How can you get 140% voter participation?
That report just brought back many horrible nightmares of that night, staying up till early morning just to find out after GW thought he won, Gore refused to concede, and along came the lawyers. Pray it doesn't happen again!

SW Ohio, Warren county here.
Went out to an appointment this morning and saw a church in Maineville (Warren County) where the line was out the door and police had blocked off the street to make more parking.
When I came back an hour later the line was snaking through the parking lot and much longer.
Awesome! My wife had to wait 30 minutes in our small rural precinct in the middle of the morning. We didn’t live here in 2000 so I can’t compare it, but sounds heavy.
The precinct at the Hamilton Twp fire dept. Lots of cars but no lines outside anyway.
I voted absentee.
Either way, heavy turnout in this area means more Bush voters in Ohio.
The line outside the building was long - easily more than 150 feet. People around me were upbeat and noone was complaining about the lines or the wait. I spoke with many enthusiastic Bush supporters.
It took a about half an hour from the time I got in line until I voted for President George W. Bush!
