As I and many of my fellow expatriates are often hard pressed to get any non-biased information from the media (we are often stuck with CNN-International!!), I have decided to start this thread in the tradition of the Operation Iraqi Freedom Situation Room threads. I hope this meets with the approval of Jim & John and the Admin guys . . .
The purpose of this thread is to be a place to collect information from all sources into one area for discussion. Specific threads for specific topics and cross linking are highly encouraged.

I think anyone with "internets" savvy will know the score by mid-afternoon . . . I don't see how they can restrict exit polling info in this data-rich environment (FR, Drudge, bloggers) . . . that being said, here's my plan: get a shower and go vote, shop for a new vehicle (not part of the original plan), appear as scheduled at County GOP Headquarters for a few hours of GOTV, come home and see if FR is still working (probably will be swamped and non-functional), then turn on Fox News for the duration . . .

The polls just opened in Maryland (7 AM). Heading out to vote for FOUR MORE YEARS!!! God Bless the USA and our President, George W. Bush.
PS: Yeah, I know MD is Dim Land, but I want to be counted in the popular vote. Let's drive those numbers up all you non-battleground states Pubs. As for the battlegrounders, well you know what to do: VOTE!!!

I voted early on October 20 at the Oakland Park Town Hall here in Florida. It only took me about 20 minutes from the time I got there until I was done voting. Yesterday I drove by the same early voting location and there was a line going around the block so I am glad I voted there when I did. A quick look at the line and the people seemed to have there heads screwed on right so I think it was a big Bush crowd despite us being in Broward County. Also, the day I voted there was a woman with a Kerry sign outside and no Bush signs. Today there were people with both Kerry and Bush signs. BTW, one of the guys with a Kerry/Edwards sign looked like an uglier version of Ug, that critter advertising for ugly houses. I was actually glad to see him there with a Kerry/Edwards sign since he might frighten a few people to vote contrary to what he wants.
Despite all the hoopla about Rock the Vote and getting MTV types out to vote, I didn't spot any of those punks on line. Somehow I just don't think your typical MTVer has the patience to stand on line to vote. You won't see many of them voting in this election despite all the publicity. After seeing that line yesterday, I felt a lot better about this election.
One other thing that I didn't mention before on the FR because I didn't want to give a heads up to the RATS. I sometimes read the Spanish language newspapers and listen to the radio in Spanish (despite being a gringo) and there has been a lot of political advertising pointing out that Kerry supported partial birth abortion while Bush opposed it. This is a VERY IMPORTANT issue to most Latins, whatever there other poltical proclivities. So don't just look for Bush support from voters here of Cuban background. Bush will also be supported by Florida voters of Venezuelan, Colombian, and many other such backgrounds. Anyway, this stress on the abortion issue is very prominent in the Spanish language media but overlooked elsewhere. It will be in play today.
Look for a big Bush win Florida in large part due to this under the MSM radar issue in the Spanish language community.

Just got back from putting campaign signs up around a polling place in Hillsburough NC. There was about 40 people in line when the polls opened at 6:30. There were 2 people from 'vote watch'(could have name wrong) or some non partisan group that were there to make sure all votes were fairly counted (don't know if they are REALLY nonpartisan or not). They were nice and were giving out flyers with contact numbers in case there were voting problems.
There were about 10 workers and judges in the polling place and they seemed very proffesional. I met my counter part, a dem poll observer, and he was nice and amiable. We decided not to talk politics while observing the voting. I go back from 12:30 to 7:30. One good piece of news, I got there a little before anyone else and managed to put up the Conservative signs all along the pathway going to the voting place - got the good realestate.
oh and am still pissed off that PBS showed that Frontline hit piece on Bush again last night! I can't believe taxpayer money is being used to defeat Bush...
