TAMPA, FL Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf today issued the following statement:
"The Democratic National Committee is making fraudulent phone calls claiming that I have endorsed Senator Kerry. Nothing could be further from the truth, and I demand that they stop immediately.
"Senator Kerry opposed the Reagan defense build-up that won the Cold War. Senator Kerry opposed the removal of Saddam Hussein from Kuwait. Senator Kerry proposed billions in intelligence cuts after the first attack on the World Trade Center. Senator Kerry voted against funds to equip our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan with supplies like body armor and ammunition.
"I am supporting President Bush for reelection, because he is the candidate who has demonstrated the conviction needed to defeat terrorism. In contrast to the President's steadfast determination to defeat our enemies, Senator Kerry has a record of weakness that gives me no confidence in his ability to fight and win the War on Terror. His attempt to make up for these deficiencies by falsifying my endorsement only confirms my impression that he is not the man we need to lead our nation."
Fantastic!
"Women for Kerry"LOLOL!
Yes, but the Rs need to drive this story. They won't. It might be too mean-spirited or something. Heck, right now, Orrin Hatch is porbably trying to figure out which one of his staffers he should fire over this so he can look good to the Washington ComPost.
All the 'Rats have to offer is fear. Not peace or prosperity or integrity or honor. Just fear.
Thanks for the ping!
Going back to at least 1936, the answer is: Nope not honest. One of the worst tricks was when the democrats banded together in 1952 to prevent the nomination @ the RNC of Taft.
An illegal delegation of democrats from Texas & other states went to the RNC and challenged the legal delegations seated for Taft. Earl Warren was promised an appointment to the Supreme Court, and Richard Nixon was promised the VP slot in exchange for California voting to seat the illegal delegates.
Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas democRATic delegates were seated. There has also been intimidation such as: we will
call in your home loan, not give you an agricultural loan, and you will loose your state job etc. etc. if you do not vote at the convention like we tell you to.
When the LSM commentators lament that the conventions are just carefully scripted infomercials, they are really telling you that they long for the good old days of the dirty tricks conventions they used to cover.
So my fellow freeper, the corruption and cheating has been there looong time and not just during the campaign, it starts before and attempts to influence the nomination itself.
I kinda like LameStream Media (LSM) myself. LOL.
I saw this on FOX today
Thanks for the history lesson.
The past history of the rats and their current history shows that they are not capable of winning an election the honest way by legal votes.
you are welcome-I just finished reading up on this a couple of months ago.
I was just a young pup when my Grandfather and Mother said that Truman stole the election from Dewey in the tradition of FDR.
That remark/memory has been coming back in force this past month.
Thanks again.
I'm off to bed. Hopefully by this time tomorrow night, we will know that we have "Mondaled" Kerry, and there is no way for the rats to cheat to win.
Pennsylvanians need to get out there and vote, to make up for (a) the Philadelphia Suburb RINOs, and (b) the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh voter fraud. Don't read the polls saying Bush can win and just sit home....he needs your help, if not for a win, for a resounding win!
But he finally caved somewhat, and extended the deadline for receipt until November 10 (not November 17, as requested). This won't let all of them get back, but it's a help.
Just spoke with woman holding a Kerry sign on the street corner, and this 'rat claim is what she was complaining about. She had no idea the privatization proposal was only 2%. Great job, Old Media! :-/
.
The Dems tried a long time ago to twist one of his quotes; from that they fabricated an entire myth about how even gernerals were against the war. As usual, it was all misinformation.
