FOX NEWS POLL, BUSH OHIO:+3, WI:+3, IA:+4
Fox News ^ | 11/1/2004 | Fox News

Posted on 11/01/2004 11:11:09 AM PST by KwasiOwusu

About the only bad thing about this poll is the figures for Florida which has Kaerry ahead +5, more than the direct opposite to the Quinnipiac poll that came out this morning with President Bush ahead by 8 points! Overall, that leaves Prsident Bush nicely ahead overall at Reaclearpoliics at Florida, Ohio, Wisconson, Iowa, New Mexico and Nevada. http://realclearpolitics.com/ A very comfortable position to be in going into tomorrow's elections. President Bush will win.

We need a Constitutional amendment to ban polls! My God, I am so sick of them.

The MSM is trying so hard to make this a Florida issue which if Bush loses, which he won't, could make the electoral college 269 each.

Jeb Bush won Florida by 12-13 points in 2002, when the Dims were swearing revenge for Gores loss.

I find it very hard to believe the President will lose Florida.

The polling in Florida is totally whacked. Multiple polls show Bush ahead while an equal number show Kerry ahead. Its like they're all drinking from the same Zogsauce pan.

Basically it says that the pollsters don't have a clue what will happen in Florida.

Regarding Florida, what were the polls showing just prior to the re-election of Jeb Bush in 2002? And what were the final numbers?

Terry Mac and the other assorted usual suspects promoted the election as revenge for what he did in 2000.

I would have that by now most of us would have learned to ignore these polls. There is such a wide discrepancy from one poll to another that they've become largely meaningless.

Any polling organization that wants to be taken seriously should offer a $10 million contribution to the charity of the winning candidate's choice if their final pre-election results are off by more than a single percentage point.

That gets the President to 269. A 269/269 tie moves it to the House of Representatives.

OTOH, if the President takes HI or NH, it would put him over the top.

President Bush will win.

Optimism is not allowed here.

You are only allowed to wring your hands and moan.

"If we take IA WI & OH we don't need FLA."

Bingo! As dreary as it has been reading the latest polls numbers the last couple of days, President Bush still have more ways to win this election than does Kerry.

Looks like FOX is trying to have it both ways. They say Bush is down 2 in the national poll, but a win in these states would secure a Bush victory for certain.

Bush will take Florida.

Or at least ban any releases to the public, including leaks. I think campaigns should be allowed to use them.

State vs. national voting often contradicts one another.

If Jeb won by 13 Bush is definitely going to win.

Let's see:

FL + OH = 20 + 27 = 47

OH + IA + WI = 20 + 7 + 10 = 37

So lets see:

South-FL = 100
SW/Mount+AK = 105 [Including NM]
IN + MO + WV = 28
Total = 233
269 - 233 = 36

So yes OH + IA + WI means Bush is reelected even without FL in this senario.
