October 26, 2004 Bush Up in New Poll Gallup? Pew Research? Zogby? Well yes, but in addition to those polls ...
7-Eleven did an unscientific poll in 2000, which was uncannily accurate.
The poll gives 7-Eleven customers the choice of a Bush, Kerry or undecided cup when purchasing a fountain soft drink. Poll results are based on the number of cups sold for each candidate. Although unscientific, the poll samples millions and millions of Americans from all walks of life across the nation, including those whose primary phone is a cell phone.
This year the vote is: Bush: 51.17 % Kerry: 48.83 %
And this is just from people who go to 7-11.
This seems like one of the best polls out there given that millions participate.
I guess you'd want a mask that reflects the candidate you prefer.
On the other hand if you and your loved one were going as Herman and Lily Munster, the Kerry mask would be a necessity!
Chad Clanton looks like the guy in the "Dunking Tank" you throw a baseball at. Tad Devine looks like the guy who takes your ticket at the "Fun House" and is about to take some hostages. The tight bearded guy with dark hair and never blinks looks like he is about to bite someone on the neck. Bob Shrumm looks like they dragged him out of "Sunny Acres Chestnut Lodge" on weekend furloughs with his usual massive dose of medication that curbs his Schizophrenia
Something is telling me this is what the final outcome will be. So I officially predict a squeaker... Bush 51 Kerry 49. I'll have to think about my EC prediction a little bit more.
...or this one...
I think 7-11 Big Gulps are popular among younger people, so the draft fears aren't working.
"I'm really having trouble flipping off you bastards; you'll have to wait until I've downed these."
LOL Be nice. I love Kirsty Alley - can't figure out what happended... ?
Bush also won the Weekly Reader kids vote!
(Which has been right in most of the elections since it started doing this.)
LOLOL
You mean Algore? He won the popular vote by less than a half percent.
The 7-11 website has state-by-state results. It would result in a 345-193 victory for Bush. It was a little screwy though, Bush won states like California, Maryland, and District of Columbia (Yes, District of Columbia) but lost states like Kansas, Colorado and Missouri.
Maybe, but you are applying my new knowledge to a 100+ year old election in a very different time.
The halloween mask results will be diluted this year. Kerry is trying to have all Frankenstein and Mr. Ed sales count for him.
Tereza is 66? (or was that a joke?)
***It would result in a 345-193 victory for Bush.***
That sounds just about right to me. Maybe off by 50 EC votes, but not more than.
We'll see soon enough.
