I was disappointed when W was asked about affirmative action, that he didn't say "just look at the fine people I surround myself with. Obviously I chose them for 'the content of their character, not the color of their skin', or their sex...but for what they can bring to the team".

I think it may have been Kristol who was telling Brit tonight that tonight will have a larger audience than expected due to the close, hard-fought nature of this election and the "emotions" running so high. We see when the viewing numbers come up. I hope Kristol was right. Kerry made so many mistakes tonight.

GW always says that at the end of his debates, in that Texas twang, folksy, dropping the 'g'....I'm askin' for your vote. It's a real killer. As you say, smart, honest, sincere, kitchen table kind of talk...Americans connect with that.

I'm not voting. It needs to be Kerry 95% and Bush 5%. so they can see how biased the polls are.

He let W talk about gay rights, which blacks don't like.

BS brought up Soc. Security which might bring young people to the polls. It's a proven winner for W.

B.S. brought up God, which is W's turf!

BS brought up the women at the end: W's great family VS the gigolo who married his woman for money. Another win for W.

I was scared of Scheiffer going in, but he was at least fair.
