PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE III (live thread)
10.13.04 | Joe, and the rest of FR.

Posted on 10/13/2004 5:19:44 PM PDT by Joe Hadenuf

45 minutes to go. If there is already a live debate thread go ahead and delete this.

I understand posting a live thread has become a somewhat of a political ordeal here, when it shouldn't be. So to take the pressure off, I'm posting this anyway. Do I dare? LOL!

Of course.....it was dispictable for Kerry to not respect her privacy....I hope it will hurt Kerry!

Chris Wallace asked Mary Beth Cahill about it & her spin was that Mary Cheney is active in the campaign & proud of who she is.....but she was clearly being defensive...big mistake on Kerry's part!

"Russert: "Invoking Cheney's daughter was 'interesting.'"

INTERESTING!?? I would describe it as "low, slimy, despicable....", but "interesting". I had just started thinking Russert had some merit too.

Worrywarts all, twenty or so days left, and a lot can happen between now and Nov. 2. The Swiftboat Vet ad is coming out, and today Sinclair was on several tv programs talking about Stolen Honor and really tying Liberals in knots. They were furious that Sinclair won't pull the film altogether or allow Kerry ninety minutes of puffery. Kerry won't even answer Sinclair's invite. That said, Kerry looked tired and desperate. He did well on the whole, but he had to defend tax hikes, socialized medicine and global test. The substance of his remarks is a killer. As Hannity just said, if Kerry were president, Saddam Hussein would still be filling those mass graves.

If we, God forbid, suffer an attack here before the election, it makes the debates moot. All that matters will be GW's reaction, how bad the attack is, the scope, the extent of our anger. Kerry will pontificate about taking action, but nobody will believe him. He'll come out and say, let's go to the UN and beg for mercy. Meanwhile we'll all be foaming at the mouth and calling for a glass parking lot in Mecca. So, we cross our fingers and pray.

LOL

Thats why I don't bother voting in these stupid online polls. It doesn't do anything. The Dems are always the ones putting forth effort to do wacky propoganda type things. It's alwasy conservatives that just come together when it counts, probably cuz we're too busy otherwise.

When we bury the rats on Nov. 2 just like we did in 2002, we need to hang the manipulated polls out in the light of day to demonstrate that they've been tainted from the beginning.

I'm scared about the election, but it seems to me that in 2002 the electorate stated very clearly what it wants and the leftist rats have chosen to offer more of what was rejected.

Rich Lowry wrote an article today saying "forceful" turned off voters.

Doesn't turn me off, but he was quoting demographics of voters that thought Bush was too forceful in debate 2.

I don't think polls have any impact, even on casual viewers especially if the polls are 180 degrees from what they think of the debates. Particularly if the polls are so damned lopsided.

I believe the defining moment was the genuine emotion and heartfelt principle that came through when Bush was asked about his faith

I am not as actively religious as some here, but I almost cried when they asked the President that question. They want to persecute him for his faith, the Dems don't believe any person should hold public office who his fully engaged with their faith. He answered the question with grace, love and humility.

He was OK. But at times it seemed he was reading dem talking points. He never asked Kerry about his record. For that he gets demerits.

Oh, so you think it's better to have a good orater that says BS rather than have someone of substance speak with a little less penace.

Boy, you have a skewed view on life.

YES!!

Also, Kerry was spinning so hard about gays, abortion, etc., he looked like a corkscrew. In effect he was saying "I'm a strong catholic who doesn't believe in the tenets of my faith."
