I understand posting a live thread has become a somewhat of a political ordeal here, when it shouldn't be. So to take the pressure off, I'm posting this anyway. Do I dare? LOL!

First I've heard of this.

It's called a BOT. Basically it is a program that votes over and over on a poll until the user tells it to stop. The things can cast hundreds of votes per minute. No way we can out vote even one BOT let alone the dozens they're using.

I can't believe that John Kerry was a fellow naval officer (I'm a retired LCDR).

The problem with his strategic vision is that it's still at the LT(jg) junior officer level. He hasn't advanced it one iota since his Navy days.

Just heard Morton Kondracke on Fox say that the deliberate outing of Mary Cheney as a lesbian by both Edwards and Kerry was a low blow and meant to drive down vote by right-wingers who might not have heard that Cheney's daughter is a lesbian. This is the dirty trick of this campaign.

Cheney has been Vice President for almost four years. His daughter's lifestyle has made no difference til now. Why should it make any difference in the next four years?

Or is that something that only a tolerant liberal would understand?

Well, Kerry's "I have a plan" worked through the first debate. He repeated it without fail and without backup in the last two. When Bush gave specifics, he opened himself up to attack (the answer could be spun), but at least he came across as in charge. He built up a large collateral of "in charge" while Kerry dug himself a hole with "I have a plan" and no plan to speak of.

The president was doing great and said a lot of really positive statements and great accomplishments, but I think all we will hear is Kerry's comment about Cheney's daughter.
