Heads UP on Zogby Poll being done today

Sorry for the "Vanity" post, but this might be significant:
New Zogby poll being conducted today includes several pages of very well thought out "Ad Research Focus Group" stuff. Majority of entire poll form devoted to researching effective Political Ad potential of simi-subliminal points.
Many "Freedom vs. Safety" & "US Dominance vs. Global Approval" etc.
Most bizzare question: "For President would you vote for: (1) The Tin Man, who has a brain but no heart, - or (2) The Scarecrow, who has a heart, but no brain.
I did not make that up -- it was on the form.
I must admit, I couldn't have put the fundamental difference between Bush and Kerry better, except that I would argue that Bush has a heart as well as a brain. (My personal opinion is that Kerry has little of either.)
Little chance that the data will be offered to the Bush campaign, but I bet this poll was coordinated with the Kerry Campaign.

I just finished taking that survey. Found the questions unusual.

"I received this poll last Friday. It was certainly different from the usual Zogby."
I also received and answered this poll and was curious about all the which would you more strongly oppose questions which were trickery, or slickery in its finest form. It would have been easy to post an opinion directly contrary to your thinking, just by accident or misunderstanding the question.
Also to note was that my wife and I are both included in the Zogby polls and the links in her email kept saying wrong user and password, but there was never a screen to input user/password. We haven't had to input user/password since we started taking Zogby polls.

"I am one of their "sample" -- have gotten the last three polls." So am I. I thought the questions were bizarre. The questions about what would upset you more were truly strange. I could not figure out what the point was.

I took this poll Last night.
It literally went into all sort of detail about what I felt about Global Superpower vs. Respected in the World...
Zogby has gone off the edge now.

I'd vote for that tree that slapped Dorothy on the hand and said, "How'd you like somebody picking your apples?"

Zogby today has Kerry up by 3%, versus Rasmussen and the Wash Post which have Bush up by 4 and 5%, respectively.
I suspect we need to issue a 'Zogby Special Falafel' alert. ('Special Sauce' doesn't seem to cut it for an Islamofascistfile like Zogby anymore).

Rasmussen says the difference between Zogby's results and his and the Washington Post/ABC tracker is he and WPABC are claiming about 20% of Dems will vote Bush. He says southern conservatives who call themselves Dem will vote Bush.
Zogby has 88% Dem support for Kerry. That is the supposed difference. Now Zogby's formula might exclude Dems from the South. That is possible. His sampling is very intentionally not random. He tries to sample what he decides is representative rather than random.
Rasmussen isn't random either, since he is forcing the partisan mix to be 2000 VNS exit poll data.
No one knows who is correct. Zogby was right in 1996 and slighly off in 2000. Rasmussen was way off in 2000 and closer in 2002. Both have changed their methodologies.
One wonders who makes the most money. Gallup or Zogby?

Anyone who understands the Wizard of OZ knows that the Scarecrow had a brain, and used it, all along. And if you read the book, you see the Tin Man was careful to not even hurt insects, he had such a heart. Good reply.

I'm on the Zogby contact list and took this yesterday. I teach psychology and recognized the factors you mentioned and where a clear conflict existed with my own philosophy which I could not reconcile, I refused the question. Overall, I enjoy taking the Zogby polls. This one was bizarre.

I thought the poll would just ask "Bush or Kerry"
