That won't be enough. Hit them where it hurts. I'd suggest a boycott of Survivor (starts Sept. 16th) if CBS has not come clean with the following:
Where did they get the forged memos from.
How long have they had them.
The process of authentication by CBS.
The sources used for authentication and whether the source gave it a thumbs up or a thumbs down.
Who they discussed the memos with outside of authentication, and what was discussed.
The personnel that made the decision to move forward with the story.
The personnel that approved the airing of the story.
Apologies by all involved.
Resignations by all involved.
Not too much to ask for, I think. Anything short of that leaves them a tarnished news organization.
This 'reporter' was more than thrilled to 'report' something that might hurt Bush. He's only ticked that he got caught.

My daughter is an Honors Media Fellow (fine program, too) at a formerly-conservative Midwestern small University.
They teach that
1) The media has a strong conservative bias.
2) Although they encourage free thinking, their minds are closed. She has had serious seminar theses returned ungraded with instructions to "view the material again so that you can come to the correct conclusion."

All the more reason to scrap the latest "reforms" in CFR. It further empowers the media, the OLD MEDIA, during the final 60 days of a campaign. Do we really want that?

NBC Dateline, yes and they were ratted out by the Fire Chief of Brownsburg Indiana in Hendricks County who observed the travesty and informed GM.
