Finally, we know what the "F" stands for. "Foney."

monobrau (1000+ posts) Fri Sep-10-04 12:41 PM Response to Reply #38 39. now they'll call you a freeper That's right, if you use your brain and actually look into it, the whole mess stinks. But anyone raising questions yesterday was referred to as an idiot or a freeper. I don't know what the hurry is that people can't wait for a proper analysis of the facts at hand. A lot of DUr's are being asses about this. I would prefer to have an open mind.

"Of course Kerry would forge someone else's."I wonder if any enterprising young investigative journalist is now going through Kerry's military records with a new set of eyeglasses?

Thanks, that's what I suspected.
Nothing wrong with a little partisan drumbeating to bring this important issue to America's attention.
But with the way things have been unfolding, I was curious as to whether any hard evidence had been found.

Great thought. I wonder if that's why they made that colossal blunder. I don't think they saw the Swift Vets coming though, and they were blindsided by the attention the book and ad got.
To: Cboldt
The forged documents have CBS FAX NUBMER across the top: they were SENT TO the White House FROM CBS before the 60 Minutes show began.
The forged documents were RELEASED by the White House, ALONG with OTHER documents that WERE called out by a FOIA request.

DUmmie Quote of the Year:Oh, please. Like a bunch of amateurs on the Internet would be able to figure out something that CBS News stuck its neck out over and never thought to investigate. Riiight.
I think what happened is that they got away with so many outrageous lies, that they got sloppy -- Dieboldgate, Plamegate, Dick Clarke's 911 fantasies, BVDgate, etc. They figured they could get away with anything. Plan B will be that the GOP fed the garbage to Rather.
It looks like Dan is going out on his shield.

Why should anyone have to answer charges based on phony documents? Where is the logic?!!! It's not logical. But, the DNC is saying that Rove (not personally, mind you) forged the documents and passed them off. So, under those circumstances, the White House has to answer for something. Truly bizarre, but you'd be surprised (maybe not) at how many people will fall for that.

There are hundreds of phonies who might be thought to be "DNC Dan," but there's only one "Baghdad Bob." Bob now will welcome Dan to his exclusive club as they march off to the land of obscurity. I am delighted that Begala and Carville once again have demonstrated their unique political skills in drawing attention to their candidate's campaign. They may be the next inductees to "Baghdad Bob's Boys."

Seriously, something is happening to the party and the old media.

. I suspect this was originally designed to be an "October Surprise" but with their campaign in danger of sinking out of sight, they rolled the schedule forward in an effort to rescue the campaign. Bingo! As Rush was saying yesterday, the Kerry camp is so desperate that the stuff that is scheduled for the week before the election is being trotted out now.
Had these Memos be reported on between Thursday and Monday before the election it is highly unlikely that the fact they were fake would have had a hard time impacting before the election.
