Rush is reporting that the docs came from the Kerry campaign and that the campaign knew that were fakes.
The typical democrat voter IS THIS STUPID !!!!
It doesn't require the entire Kerry camp, you only need a few screw-ups to peddle the fake docs. What it would indicate is that Kerry camp is total disorganized and out-of-control (which we already knew was happening with the staff shakeup). Of course, if you can't control your staff what does that say about your ability to run an administration?
"Is this the end of the Democratic party?"
Heck no. Hell breathes life into the Democratic Party. It can't "die". It may suffer horribly, it may WISH it were dead, it may froth at the mouth, WE of course wish it were dead as well, but it will unfortunately be around for for a long, long time. It may be more marginalized, it may be a laughingstock, it may be a bunch of godforsaken losers, but it'll be around.
I wouldn't repeat that until it's proven.
What Rather "believes" and what Rather can "prove" is the story.
Until he does, the story stops at the forgery charges.
You've hit on it. The Kerry people did not anticipate that the actual documents would be put up on a website, and, apparently, CBS thought the story was so "hot" that the charges would be the issue, not the origins or authenticity.
And, if McAuliffe blames this on Rove, he makes the entire DNC look like the biggest bunch of dummies in the universe.
Who would entrust the presidency to people that braindead?
These are NOT the docs that were obtained via FOIA. These were allegedly found in Killian's private files.
This is getting better and better!!!
Media demands Bush apologize but will not do so themselves!
When is Goldberg going to make the rounds? I can think of no one better to address Rather & CBS.
The forged documents were reported to come from personal files, AFAIK. IS there any report that these documents were provided under a FOIA request?
That was last night/yesterday afternoon, in a statement from CBS (right?)... 'the seriousness of the charges is more important..' Not the first time they've tried that, I'm sure.
I am really starting to believe in the Hillary! '08 operatives in the Kerry campaign. Taking off the tinfoil, because it really does look like the Clintonites are taking Kerry down.
Lehane almost sounded like he wanted to give up last night.
Edwards wants Bush to address Guard memos
Bush should address it with two words: "Shove it!!!"
Exactly -- TODAY show up next! Bet it doesn't take long to dissect and disprove everything Kelly has to say!
And yet they'll convince themselves that Karl Rove was behind it all, and was counting on CBS buying something that "a bunch of amateurs on the Internet would be able to figure out."
It was reported on Fox this morning that CBS got the documents six weeks ago and vetted them that whole time.
Sounds more and more like they were passed to CBS as soon as they were passed to the DNC by the AP.
It's not the seriousness of the charges, it's the gullibility of those who brought them forth.
Methinks the Clintons are behind this--they have the most to gain. They need to drive the last nail into Kerry's coffin so Hiliary can be coronated in '08 by acclimation.
That's it. Thanks.
No, Rather is a bottom licking Democrat, he will not seek revenge. He will just be remembered as a lackey of the Democrat party who knowingly attempted to use false documents to sabotage the 2004 election.
That is in the end, the Dan Rather legacy!
