Rush is reporting that the docs came from the Kerry campaign and that the campaign knew that were fakes.
RATHERGATE ping.
That reminds me of a story about Mark Bavaro, the former Giants tight end. His first season, he threw a block that pancaked a famous defensive end. Of course, Bavaro needled the guy for that. The guy, infuriated, yelled "Who the hell are you?" To which Bavaro said, "I'm a nobody - but what does that say about YOU?"
Very fitting in this case. We're all amateur journalists here. Yet we've brought yet another bogus MSM story down. What does that say about THEM?
KE 04 is not stupid just desperate. I suspect this was originally designed to be an "October Surprise" but with their campaign in danger of sinking out of sight, they rolled the schedule forward in an effort to rescue the campaign.
What they didn't plan on was CBS posting the forgeries in a place where they could be scrutinized. They couldn't exactly tell CBS not to either without raising suspicions, even among the brain-dead Bush-haters at 60 Minutes.

Remember that name.
If this plays out like it might, the DNC, MoveOn and the Kerry campaign have coordianted an illegal and fraudulent Plumber type operation. This may be too big to sit on, and the MSM may not even be able to sit on it.
We knew Rush would be all over this story today, but it is still heartening to think about how many millions of people are hearing about this scandal in a subtantiv way instead of in the usual sounddbytes.
Kerry and Rather are done, and I'm going to smoke myself one hell of an expensive cigar tonight in celebration. Might even break out the 30 year old scotch.

Kudos to Rush for addressing this important issue,
but let's not forget that he has never claimed to be a journalist or reporter,
he is an ENTERTAINER that does political commentary...
Now is he acturally commenting that a reporter has uncovered this factual evidence?
Or is he just repeating some of the speculative theories that have arisen?

It was very interesting to read that column last night; not 5 minutes after hearing Democrat campaign strategist Chris Lehane say on Nightline how monumentally stupid it would have been for the Kerry camp to get involved with such a thing. A case of "Stupid is as stupid does"?
I'm removing my tinfoil hat for this post. It's really hard to believe the kerry campaign is directly involved in this. If they had the memos for 6 weeks, how could they not have determined they were fakes? The timing of bill clinton's operation is suspect.

Hmmmmm....Perhaps he has somebody of relative importance to protect and he can't bail on his story.
Oh well, even if the documents were not forgeries ( I believe they were), Bush has nothing to hide on this and there is no reason for him to be distracted by it.
kerry, on the other-hand, must try to hide all the way to November.
