As Bill Clinton hit the operating table at 6:45 a.m. at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia in upper Manhattan, MSNBC almost simultaneously was preparing a video package of the former president's obituary -- just in case.

It was Bob Hope.
This is disingenuous.
Every major news organization has an obituary on file at all times for every public figure.
Now that rings a bell. Someone else in this thread said it was Ronald Reagan, but I wasn't sure. Yep, you're right. It was Bob Hope.
What will they put for an epitaph on his tomb stone, a picture of a stained dress?
Ugh. We can only imagine how vitriolic a "Clinton Memorial" would have been.
Although, that is not necessarily bad around election season, seeing as the "Wellstone Incident" wasn't exactly helpful to Dems two years ago...
I thought this was really strange.
Remember the SNL skit where they are taping Gerald Fords obit, over and over for varying causes of death?
" Gerald Ford former President of the United States died today after being torn apart by Wolverines...."
Wonder what they might say for Slick?
Remember the Wellstone Rally?
So? Every major news organization has probably had Clinton's obituary in the file, ready to run at a moment's notice, ever since he was elected governor of Arkansas. That's SOP for any significant public figure.
