In Rush's closing segment he said that he just received a story or document saying that lawyers for both the Kerry and Edwards teams were sending out letters to TV stations warning them about showing the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth advertisement!

Good point. It ought to be hard for the media to refuse these ads after this statement.
There hope is to get the ad pulled and then conveniently drop any lawsuit on it when the election is over, seeing as there is no way in hell he can refute these charges and come out spotless, he would have been better off having his talking head veterans and DNC personell counter these ads instead he has taken a more damaging route, which in my eyes is excellent.
Really true. According to Rush, they only had about 500K to spend on the ad. That wouldn't have carried them very far at all. Now all the media outlets may end up running it for free as a part of their news reporting.

Kerry needs to be asked several questions in light of all these allegations...plus some other stuff that has come out
1) How is it a GOP conspiracy when many are Dems?
2) What difference could it make that the majority on Kerry's boats support him when the boats were not far apart?
3) What about the allegations of your superiors?
4) Why were you denied a promotion in your fitrep from your website?
4) Will you release all your medical records etc. that you still have not released? Will you release your request to transfer out of Vietnam?
5) Will you actually deny the allegations instead of just attacking the people involved? So far, you won't even deny the allegations.
6) How are you qualified to be commander in chief when you were a Lyddie England in Vietnam, but worse.....burning entire villages and committing horrendous atrocities, in your own admission?
7) Why was your original Purple Heart turned down?
8) Do you deny allegations of faking your injuries or putting yourself in for your awards?
9) Do you regret going to Paris to negotiate with the Viet Cong without govt. approval? Why did you come back to the USA to lobby for the "peace proposal" according to the Communist Daily World?
10) Did you toss your medals in Operation Dewey Canyon III? Why have you given 3 versions of whether you did or didn't? Charlie Gibson on ABC even told you he saw you throw your medals. So, which is it, Senator?
11) Why did you say terrorism was an "exaggerated" threat by Bush and "misleading" to Americans?
12) Explain why you believe you are competent for national security when you missed 38 out of 49 public meetings during your term on the Senate intelligence committee?
13) How can you be "reporting for duty" when you were only "on duty" in the Senate 30 percent of the time last year?

You are right. O'Neil is a lawyer and probably a very good one. This is probably the reason they used Edward's voice and the invitation he issued at the convention to talk to people that served with Kerry.

Medved is getting a lot of good info from Odell about what actually went on over there. According to the official report Kerry wrote they had to run 3.2 miles of hostile fire to affect the rescue. 3.2 miles of fire would require 1000's of bad guys. I flew in that area and although there were a lot of them there never were 1000's lined along a riverbank at any time.

No, Rush towards the last 2 minutes of his show had just been handed a piece of paper from a law firm in Washington for Kerry and the DNC itself stating that the Swift Boat ads were untrue and the veterans in the ads were frauds. Rush went on to state that the "lawyers" were asking the media not to carry these ads or run them.
I just saw that photo a while ago. Classic.
