Former president Bill Clinton defends his embattled national security advisor as a man who "always got things right," even if his desk was a mess.
"We were all laughing about it," Clinton said about the investigation into Sandy Berger for taking classified terrorism documents from the National Archives. "People who don't know him might find it hard to believe. But ... all of us who've been in his office have always found him buried beneath papers."

DRUDGE has learned: In an interview set for publication Wednesday in the DENVER POST, Clinton questions the timing of the Berger flap less than a week before the Democratic National Convention and two days before a presidential commission is slated to release its final report on the Bush administration's handling of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Clinton tells the POST he has known about the federal probe of Berger's actions for several months, calling the news a "non-story."
"I wish I knew who leaked it. It's interesting timing," he added.
"I feel terrible for Sandy. But I just believe his explanation because I know how much he cared about this ... terrorism business," Clinton said, describing his former security advisor as a "workaholic" who has "always been up to his ears in papers."

Good grief, what if it's true? Maybe Clinton would NOT want to alert Kerry. After all, if Kerry had known earlier, wouldn't he have cut Berger loose before now?

Just think - if Kerry somehow wins, Hillary will be out until possibly '12 - If they ruin Kerry's chances now - she may have a shot in '08.
On a separate matter it would be interesting to see when exactly the hijackers entered this country and who approved them for entry.

One of Clinton's INS people should have made Alamo Girl's suspicious deaths list, back I believe in the late 90s.

those kinds of things wont be discussed b/c this is a democrat. the 9/11 commission will still be given legitimacy by the MSM because that is what needs to be done in order to defeat bush.

WABC`s John Batchelor`s regular guest,John Loftus has just reported this evening(July 20) that the documents stolen by Berger would have revealed that bill clinton and the clinton administration hired al-qaeda terrorists to fight for the muslims in Kosovo.
Loftus stated the clinton administration provided documents and facilitated travel for the al-qaeda terrorists from Afghanistan to Kosovo to help the islamists fighting for a foothold back into Europe.

Oh my gosh! If we hired AQ in the Balkans it would damage Clinton's sterling legacy thing he's so worried about. LOL

Sandy to the Cs: Uh, just want to let you know of a little problem here. Just got a visit from the justice dept about my viewing classified records. Seems there's some documents missing and they know I took them. Sorry I was so sloppy and got caught. No need to worry though, we'll be able to claim partisan politics if it gets out. The major media will help protect us. Gotta go now and let John know about this.
You bet the Cs knew months ago. The funny thing is how they're trying to spin what a great public servant Berger is. HE WAS NSA AND INADVERTANTLY LOST COPIES OF HIGHLY CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS HE STOLE!! Amazing how ignorant they think the American people are.

On FoxNews this morning, Berger said, basically, 'I vetted this back in October, so it shouldn't be an issue.'
