Please do! and please tell them that I pray every night for them. Tell them that I feel cheated not to have been young enough to be there with them, tell them that I will tell my grandchildren about them, and tell them that THEY ARE MY HEROES

The picture of Lady Laura with her hands on her hips seems to be a teacher's "All right, young man" look. Used that MANY times when I taught.

The pictures of Barney are just adorable. I wonder if they will ever get him a play mate?

One last thing.... Tell them that when a Memorial is constructed for all those who served and all those who paid the ultimate price, I will be there every year with my family honoring them.

But grit your teeth and do one or two sentences a day...something, anything...to break down the dread.

Yes. I will have to do this tomorrow. : ) I don't have much work at the office tomorrow and my office mate is out sick. It will be a good day to get back on track.

The thing that makes me crazy is that I have the methodology mostly written (I've done this kind of work on other research before), I am just trying to justify the research itself. I think I am falling into the PhD student 'I am not worthy' syndrome. I just need to write something and have my advisor tell me how bad it is. I shouldn't be telling that to myself. : )

I like your tagline Mike! It is the first time I remember seeing that one. You and hoosiermama are thinking alike.

I love how the President gets retired athletes to come to the T ball games. It must be a thrill for those players to come to the White House and meet some famous people. Tis a very nice thing W does for these young ones.

I saw a great bumper sticker yesterday...It said, My heroes have always been cowboys and had a picture of W with his hat on in his pickup truck and one of Ronald Reagan. It was great!

I can't believe the Dems think of Ron Reagan speak at the DNC convention makes them look like they appeal to Republicans. BARF!

The quote of the day is fabulous! It needs to be a long bumper sticker so the public can read it on the freeways of the nation. The media will not air it.

Thanks for the dose!

I have that bumper sticker on my car,and I bought 6 total and gave five away to people I knew would appreciate and use them. I found out the website bumpertalk.com one night while on free republic thread. It looks classy and makes people clutch their chest when they see it. They are very pricey $4.39 each, but it comes right away within about three days. I just ordered 7 more Wednesday and they came Saturday.

He's wearing that shirt like he's proud of it.

I don't understand that.

I wonder if it was a gift or his own particular choice.

Unfortunately, wearing that shirt, he reminds me of someone I dislike intensely! (And with GOOD reason.)

From someone clear across the country in California I can tell you I will never forget Sept 11th for as long as I live, NEVER! There are not enough democrat lies in the world to convince me that was no big deal, or that it was the fault of this administration.

Was the media giving Saca a particularly rough once-over?

WELL, homemom, I am halfway through Mike Reagan's Making Waves (published 1996) and I just have to ask: Didn't reading that book just make you double-boil raving mad and impotent-feeling all over again, at the crimes of the clintons and their cronies, and what they did and tried to do to trash the Constitution and the country???

How much was that book? I LOVE Michael Reagan! I had never heard his talk show before his dad died (it was only then that I found out about it) but now I listen to it all the time. I think he's wonderful! (Can you tell I'm a little enthusiastic?)

I got it from the library so I don't know the price. It's a very interesting book and, given your enthusiasm, I am sure you'd enjoy reading it.

His title, _Making Waves_, is a triple entendre: he was a race boat driver (making waves big time), became a radio airwave talk show host, and makes waves on the airwaves.

I'm sure I'd love anything written by him! I was SO touched by hearing his stories about his dad during the last month. He always makes his points so well, I just love listening to him and reading his columns.

E was showing zero respect for the head of the ticket, like he wasn't to be trusted to know what's what.

Maybe John E has a huge insight there. Perhaps from his time in Congress.

I called in to his radio show two or three times, circa 1996-97, and was on the air. He's a gentleman and a gentle man, and he does his homework, big time. Goes after government power-seizing attempts and corruption that others won't touch.

His book is entertainingly written and quite informative, covering economics in a way that's easy to understand, among other things.

I think that shirt must have been a birthday present from someone.

Since we've never seen that style on him before that was my guess.
