The President Went to Church at St. John's on Sunday and participated later in the day in a Tee Ball game on the South lawn of the White House.
Monday, July 12th, the President flew to Oak Ridge, Tennessee for a speech on defense of America and to talk about and view radioactive materials put safely in TN vaults from Libya.
After returning to the White House, the President met with the new President of El Salvador, who pledged his support and troops for Iraq.
Okay, will try. :-)
He's precious no matter what he wears :) A shirt certainly isn't going to change my admiration for him. Though I'm starting to think it may be the color more than the shirt itself I didn't like.
Drained? That's a lot of Barbra Streisand. Most people don't even notice.
Maybe I'm cranky about that kind of comment because I'm reading John Adam's biography and what they went through in that time... okay that might drain one.
Wanna hear the funniest statement of the day? John Kerry said that Ron Jr.'s appearance at the DNC will demonstrate his campaign's commitment to reaching people of all political persuasions. I laughed hysterically. What ROCK has Kerry been hiding under? I know it's hard to see straight when you've been spinning in circles but I realized a LONG time ago that Ron Jr. may share his father's name but he definitely does not share his father's beliefs!
"Drained? That's a lot of Barbra Streisand. Most people don't even notice. "
To what are you referring?!
"I believe President Bush is answering that call :-)"
You and me both!!!!
Night all!
There isn't anything I enjoy in this life that I don't thank you for. I know that every freedom I enjoy has been made possible by those like you. Every freedom this country knows has been fought for by you, and every freedom we hold dear is being defended by you. I know in my heart that these are the reasons why you so unselfishly fight for those who are denied the freedoms we share. To borrow the words of President Bush,
"Americans are a free people, who know that freedom is the right of every person and the future of every nation. The liberty we prize is not America's gift to the world, it is God's gift to humanity"
I was referring to your post with the e-mail, which referred to a lot of people feeling drained about the war.
Maybe I read it wrong. Sometimes I skim. I just feel that claiming to be drained is a bit of overkill since as a society we are generally so unaffected by the war.
Unless we have someone serving or we are wonks (like Us) a lot of people can just forget about it.
That wasn't so in WWII, which I have a fleeting memory of (from the womb) and even Korea and Vietnam affected the populace.
It actually seems that Dubya and the U.S. won this war so easily and efficiently that people were taken aback and it was anti-climatical and now they expect the postwar situation to be just as easy and if it's not--they're drained? Duh.
It's hard to make a comment about the relative safety of being in Iraq without sounding heartless or dismissive of the very hard deaths that occur, but as I say to the Domestic Partner, otherwise known as the Wimp Dove, we need to keep those boys over there out of harms way.
We had two young guys murdered two streets over in a relatively quiet neighborhood last week. STuff happens.
Did you manage to get to Walter Reed this past week?
Rack the photos
GUYS if you get a chance check out TExas Big America on HIstory Channel talk about history of Texas
GUYS ahhhhh they mention certain Prez of the US toward the end of the show
HMMMMM I wonder who I am talking about
Just make a rule, you have to write at least two sentences a day, or an outline for a paragraph.
Chop it up into really small bites. Often when you do the tiny thing you have overcome your fear of the whole long enough sometimes to go on and add a few more things.
But grit your teeth and do one or two sentences a day...something, anything...to break down the dread.
It was crazy. K sat there with a dopey look on his face and let E interrupt him, and finish his thoughts for him. I've never seen such a display.
E was showing zero respect for the head of the ticket, like he wasn't to be trusted to know what's what.
It made me wonder if E is manic-depressive or adult ADHD.
They dont have either one of the covers here. I cant even find the dang story.
I have noticed no one seems to recognize Dennis Eckersly sitting either next to or behind Laura on her left. AP missed it.
Oh, let me copy that note to our troops to send in the next care package, please?
Yes I did, between TheRaza regrasping her latest Husbands hand and John Edwards telling JK to quiet up and let him finish, it sealed the deal that John Kerry is NO LEADER
Made me wonder if a Clintonista edited the tape.
